Nice pieces but it does feel like every fashion KZreadr of late has been working in partnership or was sponsored by Goelia to the point of making any personal interest in the brand unlikely.

Thank you for the feedback 🩷 I do understand your feeling as I’ve been a “follower” for a much longer time than I’ve been an influencer. I hope Goelia reads your comment and takes this into consideration as it’s important to the brand to hear from us costumers. Just to share my two cents as a KZreadr, it’s really hard to come up with new content weekly and just never be sponsored. I have 148 videos published currently and I think probably around 130 were not sponsored (which means I purchased the items myself or simply shared creative ideas with pieces I already had in my wardrobe). Creating this type of content (filming, editing, linking items, answering questions and getting new requests) takes SO much time and energy. It’s amazing, but so much more work I could ever imagine. Not just that, it gets very expensive too when we consider the equipment we need to film/edit, as well as purchasing new stuff out of our pocket (when that’s the case). It’s so nice to have our work recognized by a company and have a sponsorship once in a while. My goal as a KZreadr is to stay true to myself and mix videos between my own and sponsored ones. Before I accepted the partnership, I actually checked their website to see if their clothes/style and the company itself would be a good match. I also immediately came to KZread to see if any other KZreadrs had reviewed the brand before. I found such nice videos (sponsored and not sponsored) from amazing influencers I follow such as Mademoiselle Jamie (100k followers, Lydia Tomlinson 700K +) and a few others. I was actually flattered when Goelia reached out to me as I’m super small compared to these other KZreadrs! Anyways, I totally understand that you as a costumer would rather not see so many influencers talking about the same brand, but at the same time I question myself how the brand would be discovered if they don’t get their clothes out there to be seen. I’ll keep coming with original content and unsponsored videos, just please keep in mind that these also help us keep on going and being able to provide free content weekly to you all 🩷 Again, I appreciate your feedback and sincerity. @@milainnewyork First, many thanks for this thorough answer. I can appreciate both your point about creating content being time consuming and your point regarding the price of buying new items to produce said content. I especially like that you did not see my brief comment as an attack but rather tried to understand my point of view from the perspective of a consumer. Now, the issue I have with Goelia is the same I have with other companies (such Vivaia shoes, Lilysilk, Senreve, Everlane and the like). Perhaps due to their marketing strategy, it seems all their sponsored content (or “partnerships”) with influences across social media (be it KZread, Instagram and others), are produced/shared at the same time, mostly likely to meet the needs of certain “campaigns”. For a viewer like myself, it seems that in the span of a few weeks (and sometimes the very same week), at least 4-5 influences whose content I typically watch are sharing some kind of video about these brands. While I understand some lesser established brands want to create a name for themselves and there is definitely a power to exposure, it does at times, in people like myself at least, create a sense of fatigue which actually makes me less interested in investing in a brand. The issue is obviously much bigger than individual influencers and will require for this media space to maybe rethink its strategy or at least to further diversify it but at least from my perspective, if I even see Lilysilk, or Senreve on a video title, I am less likely to click on it. I image I am not the only one. Now, this creates its own problems (as sometimes influencers recognize this issue and are less likely to directly disclose ads/sponsorships and the likes), but as far as I am concerned, I do think the relationship between consumers and products should/could be reimagined. In any case, I too wish you a good weekend!

I love the white, beige and light blue pattern of the silk scarf so much that I got several items in it: skirt, shirt and scarf. I also got the pale blue silk shirt with the skinny scarf in the same pattern. These are my best colors, and as a geologist, I love the map pattern, it’s just perfect for me. These are from their See the World, World Traveler, or something like that collection. These items are so summery and fresh. The silk is thinner and lighter weight than most, but this is reflected in their pricing, which is not unfair. Their styles are classic and modest, which I love. I also got a floral silk dress I love, and another silk dress on the way. I love their fast delivery, it’s only 5 days or less to my area, San Francisco. (No brand affiliation, just sharing my experience).

I like my Goelia silk items, but wouldn’t buy those triacetate ones, that fabric isn’t breathable. They took down their website search function, annoyingly.

Hi Mila, I always love your honest reviews but I have to say Goelia is a little disappointing in terms of quality and design. They look great in video but not that good when I saw them in the store in Sydney. I also kept sneezing in the shop because of the microfibres from the polyester fabrics. A lot of KZreadrs are promoting Goelia but people will know once they order.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback ❤️ I’m sorry to hear you had such a negative experience, that’s not good :( I don’t know which pieces you saw in person, but the ones I received I really liked (the fit, style and quality). The cotton dress and wool cardigan felt very high end and so did the acetate white set. I see what you mean regarding polyester and synthetic blends, I like to avoid them too! I always prefer natural fibers as it’s best for the skin and also the environment. I didn’t notice any funny smell on the clothes I received, so sorry you had this experience at their store. Most of the orders through my LTK were successful though, I can see there hasn’t been many returns. The item the sold the most was the white cotton dress, it’s really beautiful and so unique 🤍

I think every wardrobe needs these so we can pair them with other special pieces we own (the ones that are more like statement clothes/ colorful/ those ones with prints).
