Hy guys! I'm Fakhar Abbas from Layyah, Punjab, Pakistan. Its our 4th class of morphology. In previous classes we have discussed morphology, it's examples, morphemes, types of morphemes, free and bound morphemes and its types in detailed discussion. So in this class we will discuss about affixes which is type of bound morphemes in detail. Affixes
The bound morphemes which are added to root words are called affixes.
Prefixes
The affixes which are added before root words are called Prefixes.
Suffixes
The affixes which are added after root words are called Suffixes.
Infixes
The affixes which are added in root words are called Infixes.
Interfixes
The affixes which are added between two contentful morphemes are called Interfxes.
Circumfixes
The affixes which are added before and after root words are called Circumfixes.
