Hahaha, as Indonesians, we just laugh when looking at the Group C drawing. Not a single Indonesian is overproud, saying we could be number 1 or 2. If someone says we are the weakest team, we just smile and say, "Yea, in reality, we are indeed the weakest team. There's nothing to argue about that." But what makes us happy is that we get to compete against strong Asian teams, wondering how far Indonesia will go. If we lose, it's expected. If we win, it's a miracle. But Indonesia is becoming more mature through this match. And of course, we also have high hopes for Indonesia to at least qualify for 4th place so we can compete again in the 4th round. That's all we feel or just myself at least.

For me, i think its a 50/50 chance for Indonesia to get to world cup rather its by round 3 or round 4 or even intercontinental playoffs. 2026 C group is similiar with 2022 B group in the AFC WCQ third round. There were Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and China. The others were Oman and Vietnam. Just switch Oman with Bahrain and Vietnam with Indonesia

honestly as an Indonesian, our problems right now lie COMPLETELY away from the defence. We are absolutely STACKED with defenders, especially the LB! Arhan, Pattynama, Verdonk, and technically Tjoe-A-On, it's a good problem to have in the LB department. For the CBs we are so good if the back 3 is Hubner, Idzes, and Ridho, I'm sorry but Jordi Amat imo doesn't have a spot in the first team anymore, however in the RB spot we are looking a bit weak, because we only have Asnawi, and Sandy Walsh, and I guess you can count Yakob Sayuri as one but he's not an outright RB (mainly a winger). Then you come into midfield, you have Thom Haye, Iver Jenner, and Tjoe-A-On (I'll just call him Nathan from now on) who often plays as the double pivot with Thom Haye, you are absolutely sorted with that duo, plus you got experienced box to box player Ricky Kambuaya on the bench, Egy, and more that I honestly can't even remember. Our problems lie on the offence. Marselino is often a selfish c***, Witan is somewhat inconsistent imo, Struick is still a "raw" player (but he is influential in creating chances for his teammates), Sananta is also inconsistent, Ragnar definitely plays for the badge, but since his debut goal vs Vietnam, he hasn't looked as threatening as he did in that game, and we just lack attackers in general. We just got Jens Raven, again another "raw" talent, mainly focusing for the long term, but yeah if we wanna stand any chance to MAYBE even get Top 2, we need a natural striker, I would definitely take someone like Ole Romeny who is young but isn't THAT young. Of course this is just my opinion, everyone has their own opinion so don't go and absolutely smoke me in the replies. 👍

Actually despite in hell Group, Indonesia is playing with no fear. They have nothing to lose since they already reach the point where they through themselfs. Not to mention with majority players born in 2000s (24 y.o and under), their spirit is top of the world. That's their strongest point. No matter how much experienced other Teams in Group C are, they will never beat the spirit that Indonesia Players have right now. As you said, with such a young players no one knows their limitation. Sometimes magic happens along with your spirit about something. Those young players in ages when they can through themselfs without even they expect for it. They are the real definition of "Asian Wildcard". Even if we didn't make it to World Cup in 2026, the experiences they got in this World Cup Qualifications and upcoming Asian Cup, they absolutely will be the Monster in WCQ 2030 and will make it (as long as the Coach still as good as STY). And about Defensive, i don't know are you looking for their Last Match againts Iraq or not, but actually 2 Goals from Iraq was both came feom Heaven. Indonesia with High Pressing and Amazing Defensive was kxlled all Game Plan that Iraq made during 1st round. And by the way, we just got Center Back from Serie A recently so you must be know how good Italy's Backs are.

As an Iraqi, I lowkey feel worried, our players are too passionate and they crumble under pressure, that (alongside some consistency and underestimating problems ) is the only thing that holds us back from being a top 3 Asian team at the moment (alongside Japan and Iran) , but we all know how they can play amazingly both offensively and defensively, prime example is the 2-1 afc cup win against Japan. If we only just play like that, genuine prep, no underestimations, and actually pick the right cards defensively (casas likes to rotate and sometimes feels for the older players and gives them game time against weaker teams) we could genuinely beat Korea and Jordan at home and maybe snatch draws away and potentially even topping the group, another concern is our fans, they always think about “revenge” against both Jordan and Korea or whatever, that also puts unnecessary pressure on us and the ball is in our side so teams like Jordan aren’t as pressured as we are, if they end up beating us again it’s all cause of us, but ultimately I believe, I trust the process, go Iraq 🇮🇶!!!!

To add some information, the best SEA teams got in round 3 is just a last place on two edition of world cup (Thailand for 2018, Vietnam for 2022). So yeah, we don't want to pressured our national team Indonesia too much, just hoping for the best play on this round

Uzbekistan got the best draw ever. We are very comfortable with Qatar, and we have way better results against them. even in the Asian cup without 7 key players, we lost them on penalty kicks, so all Uzbek media, fans believe we can get at least 4 points against them. when it comes to Iran, in the last 3 years we played against each others so many times that we got so used to each other. I am expecting two draws against Iran as well just as round 2. uae? umm.. they were good during akhmad Khalil period, but nowadays... ofcuz Paulo Bento might do changes to the team but still against Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan they do not have chances to beat top 2 tho. and Bento is good for long terms saying that he just came 1 year ago as a coach so idk. Kyrgyz is our neighbors and with all respect we are better in the present. the team with surprises is North Korea of cuz bcuz of lack of information about them. if they play in North Korea their home games, then they may make some surprises, but if it is the third country, then it is 'real present' for top 3 teams for sure.

Qotor is not an easy opponent at all if you ask those AFC referees, AFC linesmen, AFC VAR and you will see how "strong" their "team" is, especially inside their opponent penalty area

As a jordanian our group ia really nice and we got lucky in the matchup since we are not going against iraq or south Korea in the first two rounds and salami the new couch seems promising since amouta is the one who suggested him to Jordan and respects him as a couch , and yeah he was with the team for like a year researching them so he has some understanding for the team

As a Korean. I think Jordan was the most underrated and overlooked team before the Asian Cup. I knew Jordan was a good team and Coach Jordan is a really good tactical coach. And Iraq is also a strong team. Jordan will have Coach Klinsmann to thank for the Asian Cup. I think Jordan is a good team with high potential for development. See you at the game in October.

As a Korean too, most Jordanian is underestimating Korea... in fact, Korea that Jordan beat in asian cup was literal "trash." Klinsmann was so awful, but amouta was so good. Therefore, It will differ in the qualifiers round 3 I am looking forward to a revenge match with Jordan, Oct, and Mar.

Indonesia will secure top 4 at this group. They are 134 on Fifa ranking but on the field i could say their performance is better than teams in 70-80 on Fifa rankings.

Favours the 3-4-3 system yet is somehow even more dynamic offensively, trusts the youth & really loves to trust the data (so he could potentially go with obscure picks) With what Moroccans have told me, I’m pretty optimistic about Jamal Sellami! He previously coached a FUS Rabat 🇲🇦 team that focused on youth first & selling them, rather than win trophies. However, he’s had that kind of experience with Raja Casablanca 🇲🇦 I will say, we Jordanians should expect some patience out of Sellami, because unlike Ammouta, he isn’t coming in with previous AFC experience. Fortunately though, he has a great blueprint to follow, which is Ammouta’s football, & so he can gradually adapt Ammouta’s way into even more dynamic football. Sad to see Hussein Ammouta go (we had known before), but excited to see Jamal Sellami & inshallah now becomes the time we qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup 🇺🇸🇲🇽🇨🇦
