    Nice review as always Nusensei. The Kheshig from Alibow stands among the best mongolian bows in the low-medium budget range. A direct competitor to the Kheshig would be the Zhu Ran gen.2 from AF. Although labeled as a Han bow, its shape is very reminiscent of the pre-conquest era mongolian bow.

    I tested this same bow out down at Topoint back when Tony was still in Huntingdale and liked it as a really good budget price laminated asiatic bow. I immediately bought one for Box Hill members to borrow and use as it’s a nice contrast to the fibreglass asiatic bows we have for those completely new to asiatic thumb draw. Like you mentioned I felt that it would be a good workhorse but also that it presents itself very nicely from an aesthetic standpoint.

    This may literally be the same bow you tested. This is Tony's bow from Topoint.

    I agree with you for the most part! However I do love my AF Yuan bow just as much as my Mariner Yuan Kublai 1. Also, this could be because my AF bow is 15 lbs lighter and thus more comfortable to shoot. But i really had a period there where I actually preferred the AF bow. Fantastic value for the performance in my case. Great video, man.

    Personally, I love the averageness of AF's bows. It feels a lot more rugged, and I find it rather pleasing to have that rough feedback with every little thing I do. Tools which are too smooth tend to feel very disconnected from myself, whether that be a car, a bow, or really anything. I don't have the Зэв yet, but I do have two other bows which behave much like you describe. I look forward to getting mu hands on one in the future.

    I checked years after problem with hand that forced me to stop shooting bows althogether... My bow for competitions is custom made 52" longbow made of several types of woods and some laminate (1500eur or more this days). At the time one could only compete with longbow so i hated the thing after trying a few nice traditional recurves, but it shoots way, way better than Jebe shown in the video. Arrow is so destabilized after a couple of meters there is no way this could hit anything at 50m or more.

    Nice review, the bow does have a cook aesthetic that makes it appear like a higher quality bow. Someone trying to get into Asiatic Archery could buy it and not feel like they have a simple looking bow that shows off its target customer.

    Watched your bow review videos. They are nice and informative. It would be nice to know the spine of the arrows you are using and the spine of the arrows that should be used with each bow. Just a thought 🤔

    These arrows are 28.5 inches, 500 spine. I tend to use the same set for most of my tests because that's what I have, but I do sometimes forget to state them.

    In my language "Jebe" is a verb for fucking 😂 I really like the look of this bow. Apart from the arrows on the belly

    I agree with your assessment. The jebe was a disappointment for me. It is average and not what I would call a fun shooter.

    I was a little shocked that you were shooting while other shooters were pulling their arrows. At the clubs I know (all in Germany) that is an absolute no go.

    Strongly disagree with your opinion on this bow. The archer makes the bow and as such, the archer must know what techniques to use and which shooting style will get the most out of its tool. I own the same bow in 45lbs and shooting gao ying, not painting the ground, strong full draw behind the ear, a soft and aggressive release, makes it one of the best bang for buck out there. It's a punchy, snappy, fast and silent, machine. My only negatives are: a bit to aggressive and stacking at 32". That 34" max should be revised.

    There's a video of them drawing a 30 pound version to like 38, I'd say anything 35 pounds and up stacks, I can push my 50 pounder to 33 inch but it stacks alot, it's 49 @28 going to 61@32 then to 68 @33 so it dosentike it at all, I draw 32 inch arrows till the back of the point touches my finger in front of the handle

    @@pdj2975 yes I saw that video also. I used to pull mine all the way to 33" and was getting almost 60lbs. Nowadays I draw the jebe to 31-32", thinking of its longevity. Still a fantastic bow.

    This video has a lot of audio issues. The voice levels when shooting is way too soft and drowned out by the music, and some crackling artifacts in two places from what I assume is mic collisions.

  • @NUSensei

    @NUSensei

    I'm not mic'd up when shooting. Nothing relevant is being said, it's just banter and chat with other people on the range. Normally these segments are silent, but I left the range talk in to keep a natural flow.
