Very good opening monologue by Sidgwick

What I like about this podcast is that Sidwick is unashamedly a diehard AEW fan. Atleast there is no hidden bias and it is straight up acknowledged.

I slightly checked out of AEW when Rampage was introduced and absolutely checked out when Collision was introduced. Too much to care about sadly. Loved it when it was just Dynamite.

I hope AEW does succeed, but only cause the WWE product is better without the AEW fanbase. Shame most went back over with Punk.

AEW review. Lost Cody Rhodes, lost CM Punk, lost Jade Cargill, half the talent is injured, $32 million in losses, 790,000 Dynamite ratings, 22 title belts, and Tony Khan’s entire twitter feed. 2024 looking “great!”

    1) Cody wasn't that great in AEW 2) Punk was being problematic backstage 3) injuries happen in all companies 4) aew is still a new and start up company. Changes will be made next year. Enjoy your blood money 5) dynamite has been pretty constant at around 800k viewership more or less all year 6) between aew and roh there's a total of 14 titles compared to 15 in all of wwe 7) TKs Twitter is entertaining af xD

@@RandoDubz you type that on a electronic device? Child slave advocate. 😂 AEW just did 780,000, including the rating boost from a over run and lead in with no competition. WWE is going up against MNF and had a rating increase. Once promoted to Executive Producer, it took Eric Bischoff only 3 years to pass WWE. AEW is in year 4.5 and retracing in viewership. AEW is no longer a “new company” especially since the Kahn’s have spent nearly a billion dollars on it. It’s a glorified house show for a small niche market, that is getting smaller by the minute. Great for people who like that style wrestling, but not great for TV deals.

Sorry, but AEW is superb. Match quality promotion is the perfect way to describe it, and AEW outdoes WWE in spades herein. Even rampage has regained ground. If you want story telling then that’s a tv show about wrestling, not a wrestling show

There are those that argue that the majority of AEW matches fall under the category of either flippy dippy gymnastics or fake-looking “death match” garbage wrestling. I’m not saying that’s ALL there is. But the notion that AEW is some kind of “pure wrestling” show sounds like a bit more of an excuse for shoddy storytelling these days.

@@michaelsimpson2035 "Piss off if you disagree with me, you're just objectively wrong" Sidge thinks of himself as a wrestling expert (despite never taking a bump in his life) but he mostly tries to maintain the pretense of "I'm an analyst and it's my job" But no, the guy thinks he knows better and that his opinions carry more weight.
