Simulation, arcade was good during its time thus game did bring some nostalgic feels but again I think it would be better if they switched to simulation, we have gotten use to a certain gameplay for a good while now and switching back just feels, well, backwards

DID YOU KNOW: If you play a Elimination Chamber match and set all the superstars to "Random" for their entries, Michael Cole will tell you the order of the superstars in the chambers release order by his introductions of the opponents in the match after the start of the bell. (I found it only works in Play Now mode)

I remember when random was actually random the light show wasn’t for nothing cause you actually didn’t know who was coming out next also the 3v3 elimination chamber tag match always wanted that to come back but as far as I know it hasn’t appeared since the svr days oh well

The last thing they need is a sequel. Unless they plan to add current roster members in a timely manner, maybe it's best they don't have a new game. Especially with the abhorrent amount they charged for the game and DLC.

I think the base game was solid, but it was priced way too high! It should've been a $20 game and maybe the arenas and new minigames and even the stadium stampede gamemode all being cheap dlcs and the wrestler dlcs being free add ons. Also a much much better creation suite

They have an engine now to work on and improve on so not starting from scratch. So even if they make the sequel different in everyway it wouldn't take as long now they have a base.

If AEW makes a sequel for Fight Forever. You need more single player modes like a GM Mode & or Universe. A longer career mode & more match types. Also a bigger roster & bigger DLC packs

Being a game developer has got to be the worst when working under these greedy companies.

I am a big fan of entrances, hopefully in AEW's next game, they add full intros :)

I am glad to see they are still showing support for AEW Fight Forever and adding more characters, but they need to consider trying to add to the creation mode and updating wrestlers already in the game that are severely outdated like Kris Statlander, Hangman, Young Bucks, Toni Storm and others. If they do make a sequel, I hope they really work on the gameplay, especially the reversal system and lack of a prompt to know when to reverse. Also, the pin system needs to be retooled to give you a fighting chance other than just trying to button mash your way out. As far as new match types, I would like to see specialty matches such as steel cage, texas death match and blood and guts match incorporated. Also, normal matches like tornado and normal 6 man matches. The game had potential and hopefully on a sequel, they improve on what they already have, especially giving better creation options across the board.

2K still needs to add where we can edit who the announcer is in Universe Mode

Hell they still need to fix the custom image glitch so people can download folks on the community creations without having to deal with the paranoia of getting glitch walled from using them.

This game is a huge disappointment for me as a fan of AEW and some of the older games it was supposed to have influence from. The lack of roster and features is disturbing and that there is no free or one time fee for lifetime updates means that it’s more of a cash trap than My Faction or some of the EA game micro transactions. Constantly paying for things that should have been available at launch is a miss. Im not the biggest fan of wwe 2k dlc but it is far more value based on the existing roster and the amount of wrestlers in comparison. A lifetime free update or one time lifetime DLC fee would breath life into the game as well as simple additions like all the belts, arenas for all current shows and ppvs and even if it would be costly to add more players on screen for trios, they could at least add something simple like a continental classic tournament mode!

If AEW does make a sequel to Fight Forever, they should use the SmackDown Vs Raw 2011 engine which would make it so much better, seeing as how yuke's worked within that engine.

I stopped playing aew when I bought the deluxe edition and had to buy extra DLC

The thing is AEW makes a new game they have to remove everyone who has left. If they just update the current one that allows them to keep Punk, Cody, Jade, ect. So maybe instead of the half . attempt they are making someone light a fire under them to add those match types & real updates for things like CAW. I bought every DLC pack until now but am stopping any support unless they make REAL additions.

If FF was based off No Mercy. Their next game should be based of HCTP or Day Of Reckoning. Those two games are the best wrestling games to exist with their unique engines and mechanics.

All AEW had to do was give us a decent roster and a HCTP/No Mercy season mode, and they couldn't even give us that, screw them

I desperately wanted Fight Forever to be a home run so it put real pressure on 2K. I bought it on sale and while it has several elements with room for improvement, I only played it for a week or so since the controls were quite tedious compared to the current 2K engine. You could tell it was badly rushed and the DLC offering and prices are absolutely preposterous!

So would this mean I cannot have replays at the end of my matches? I've not been able to have replays with them switched on since release.

@smacktalks, have you noticed that the LED boards don't work for some WWE Superstars when they enter? Wonder if 2K know about that? Just wondering if you were aware if it?

On my end, I am no longer able to download anything from the Community Creations or items in the image manager since I got patch 1.06. Any time I try, my game hard crashes. I’m on Xbox Series X with this issue.

Not sure if it was fixed with 1.06 or .05 patch, but they did fix something I'd reported in the Reddit mega bugs thread. When you want to copy a moveset to a CAW or other wrestler, before when you went to scroll down to the last 2 items on the left list such as "Attributes", that and 1 other option below that were actually stuck off screen once you scrolled down that far, so it was a bit of a guessing game just to copy or not copy attributes, but it's now fixed and you can fully scroll through and see what's selected.

AEW fight forever needs more match types to complete AEW game is good, just give Wrestling matches AEW second game and especially android game I'm looking forward

AEW Fight Forever or any sequel would have to do one thing that would exponentially help interest and fan support of the game. Updating the fans on what's going on! A Road Map, Developer Diaries, anything.

@smacktalks do you think we'll get a patch update with the new tag team belts for each brand? The reason I ask is, generally this kind of thing would be saved for the next game but considering we're one month into the games life cycle with 11 months to go till the next one, this is a pretty glaring thing that renders this virtually brand new game out of date

6:26 the image error problems where logos will show up on creations that they shouldn't be on and so on and so forth is something I hope they fix as soon as possible because that's one problem I find annoying

this confirms what most people thought about ff as it did look like a lite version of what we expected it to be,but even with that being said the rate at which they are releasing new wrestlers is pathetic as even now we are way short of being even close to a full roster and the urgency at which they are trying to put some very marketable new arrivals in is worrying,its ok to say the game wasnt complete upon release but the effort that has gone in after that doesnt fill me with confidence that another game wont suffer the same issues,making a first game is always tough and a potentially difficult undertaking so credit to them for trying,but if they go for a sequel then hopefully all the lessons have been learned!

@@FIB-EDITS pound for pound sure. But compared to modern capabilities they absolutely suck. I was big on HCTP back in the day. The game had a sense of freedom and lawlessness. Current game developers lack the passion. Recreating old engines won't fix that. We need a modern game built by those who care.

That was the plan but like most of their plans it went up in smoke. Hopefully they make a second one sooner rather than later. As feels like anything they do with the current one is just a cash grab, adding stuff that doesn't really add any value or that was meant to be in the game at release.

All I want is a game like svr 2011 with the weapon physics. Also a mix of arcadey and simulation gameplay.

It's kinda funny watching some moves in FF having the exact same animation as 2K. Yes, I know most of the moves in 2K right now were mocapped under Yukes and don't need to be reminded of it, but it's just funny to me.

Aewff is pretty good but the 3 major issues that made me stop playing is the fact that it feels like an alpha of no mercy, it has the foudation to become a great game but it lacks content like it was released incomplete. 2nd reason I stop playing is cause I love to create wrestlers with accurate stats or op stats but the only way to improve CAWs stats is to take them thru RTE mode and after playing that mode a few times it becomes a tedious task. I don't mind career modes and grinding to make a CAW better but I also wanna make CAWs for fun. Wwe2K and several sports games has both. And 3rd reason there dlc practices just suck. Personally i think a sequel building from all the flaws is for the best. 4th Petty reason the game has my 1st name Jamal but not my last name. Wwe2k never adds Jamal but they have my last name 🤦🏿‍♂️ I gotta combine games to get my full name added

Heres what I like AEW FF2 would like to be : Longer entrances - even if they are generic Change the pin/kickout system ( It isnt casual friendly which will drive away players ) Speed is nice keep the match engine ( Its arcadey not a simulation ) Fix the contact system ( Its clunky and inconsistent ) Add match types If they can somehow do that then I'd buy it.

I want them to tell us why the communication was so terrible.

I'd like to support Fight Forever but the game is too barebones. Ive got the game and season one pass but getting the season 2 and season 3 pass,(ONLY 6 WRESTLERS!!!) would cost me about what the base game cost. That's just too much. Waiting on a good sale.

I hope people agree with me when I say I will genuinely never touch another AEW game if they don’t fix FF. I preordered that game, something I VERY rarely do, I saw gameplay, I saw what the executive vice presidents(🤓) said, I saw who made it, and I loved the concept. But GOD was the execution horrible. Pin system was bad. Submission system was bad. Damage system was bad. CAW was bad. The story mode was bad. The reward system was bad. The entrance concept was bad. EVERYTHING. I get how WWE games literally have decades of content to look back to and use, and probably 50x the budget, but it’s almost as if Tony Khan himself played the game, said “no it’s too much like WWE games” then forced them to change everything possible.

AEW Fight Forever is just dont builds the hype like WWE 2K Series but some problems are more glitches & bugs in 2K but they do there best, plus AEW should had waited more to release the game and have a Huge roster on who is still in AEW or Not

AEW is a time capsule though.

So Tony Khan saw the Elite Action Figure skins in WWE2K24 and in typical Tony Khan fashion he's following WWE's trends and making a whole game focused on it.

I tip the next time AEW stars appear on a video game will be WWE 2K25 or 2K26 when AEW goes under and WWE buys it for nickels and dines, like they did with WCW, ECW, the territories etc.

You have a better chance at a TNA Impact sequel than you do FF2. AEW owns the engine and there relationship with Yukes has soured no developer is going to want to spend time tweaking it, and the fan base were given way too many broken promises. This is it, if they can add match types and fix the pin system and add quality upgrades it can be salvaged.

I love the gameplay. It just needed more features and a better create a wrestler mode. Simple.

Something that I don’t want is yet another No Mercy game. That engine is a fun, tried and true, engine for an arcade type wrestling game, but I think a Simulation type game should be on the horizon for AEW. Much like what 2K is doing, an AAA studio like EA sports or Ubisoft create a yearly AEW simulation release. I think that, along with continued support for Fight Forever, would be a great way to provide another console wrestling game alternative. TBH, I wonder what an EA Sports AEW game would look like

They were pushing hard on the idea of FF being a game for many years. The game was fun but for me they really botched it. The mini games were beyond silly. The BR mode felt silly. This could've been a spiritual successor to no mercy but instead it was mediocre at best (reviews are reflective of this). I don't know how involved omega was but creating a video game is a total different ball game than producing one.

At this point, when it comes to FF, with Ultra Pro Wrestling coming next year, with the customization they’re promising you can basically have FF2 with FirePro customization and roster. There was a real opportunity to make something special but they blew it big time. I have FF on my switch as it’s a fine on the go wrestling game. But I’m planning on getting UPW on switch too and at that point why would I play FF? FF2 would have to be a contender for best wrestling game ever. If not, with AEW’s ratings shrinking, I don’t know who it would even be for outside of diehard AEW fans.

AEW needs to focus on it's actual product before trying to do more games. How much they spend heavily outweighs what they actually make. It's bad business. It's not sustainable once Tony runs out of his fathers money.

As a wrestling fan I really hope AEW's new game (if it happens) is better than Fight Forever. That game was fun for 2 days sadly

Theres a reason Yukes were dropped from the 2K games. Sloppy and Lazy development, piling tons and tons of code on top of code from each previous game and being unable to progress any further with development. Visual Concepts have done an amazing job cleaning up the games(2k20 being the exception) and finally being in a position to be able to add new match types. If i was in charge of AEW Games, I'd cut the losses and find a new developer pronto
