Wow that is an amazing truck. In 2012 I bought a Ram 3500 Longhorn and even back then the interior was incredible. In that year it still had the gauges in the drivers cluster and to be honest it looked like something that was made by Rolex or something. The attention to detail was great. I also today have an AEV vehicle with a Chevy Colorado Bison.

In my opiniion, the most incredible truck that can be purchased. High end interior, and very capable off road. Congrats to ya. Id love one in a mega cab very similar to yours.

Rbl. Thank you! And I can’t agree more. That interior is amazing! I’d also love it in a mega cab better. Or if they just made the interior bigger in general. They still have one of the smaller interiors. And then a stronger after market. Locker dreams here for better off-road.

I originally had a 2023 3500 MEGA CAB Longhorn edition, High output engine, with Air bags, along with the Ram Boxes, with the AEV Prospector XL package. This contract on this build has been on order now for over a year now. It has since been changed to 2024 model year. Original 2023 model was trashed on the Mexican/American border waiting on customs to bless off on the truck passing thru the border. Last word I got was that it was in Michigan. We will see. Watching your video got me excited about my order.

Aargh. Sorry to hear about your truck. Sounds like that was the ultimate build! I’d love to have a mega cab. It’s the only thing I feel I’m missing. Glad you’re enjoying the videos while u wait. Got a GMRS radio install coming up too.

This is similar to what i would like to do. In the military so i wont be back to the states until around 2027. Did you go through a dealership for your order or did you go through AEV themselves? I have a couple years to figure this out but looking for information to get this started earlier so it will be ready when i get back.

@@JU1CEME you’re in a perfect situation to order from AEV. Have them source the vehicle and build it. When you come it’ll be ready. FYI. There’s some lawsuit right now that RAM was fudging their emissions numbers. So there may be a recall to “fix” our model years. If they do who knows what that’ll do. But something to keep in mind if buying older.

Finally! someone who went big on the 3500 and posted a video! Congrats! i have a 3500 mega cab prospector on order but not the XL. A little more street-able but my u turn ability will be worse regardless. Thanks for posting yours…

So I finally took delivery of my AEV 3500! It’s a beast but drives like a 1500… I am putting the diamondback cover this weekend… big thanks to you Marchal for that add on. i have the ram boxes so i hope it fits…. cheers!

Thank you. It’s got 3700 payload. It’s a diesel so it’s lower than its gas version.

I am going to be picking up the same color in a megacab next week. What are you running for tire pressure? I had the same Cooper tires in a 35" on my last truck. They started off quiet but got pretty noisy after about 15k miles. Apparently they are hit or miss. Mine will have the Toyo mt on them. Those are also loud.

Ah. Great. Now I'm jealous Shawn. The Mega Cab is sweet. I've never ran Coopers before. They are pretty loud as it is new. lol. If they get any louder I'll lose it. I'll have to check pressure tomorrow. I've ran Toyo before AT though and they were pretty quiet. Never the MT. Let me know how loud they are. Congrats on the truck. I think it's the best "Factory" build out there.

So now that the epa caught ram faking emissions what does that do to your truck?

You know. I read about that. Likely a recall to “fix” whatever they did. Curious what said fix will break. After all why would they have faked it.

I find it hard to believe this will drive like a 2500. Can you confirm that is what you meant? Does it really run as plush?

TD. It really drives well. I don’t notice any drastic difference on the road. More road noise for sure. But it’s plush. I’ve owned a few vehicles from the most expensive to the cheaper. And in my opinion it’s a good driving truck. These things are always subjective though so take with a grain of salt.

@@iAmMarchal thanks, appreciate the response. I own a ‘22 Raptor and a ‘12 G550 and I prefer the ride in the Raptor by a big margin. It’s one of the reasons I didn’t want to sell it and get the Prospector. So now I need to reevaluate. Cheers.

@@SkywhiteChannel we’re living the same lives. Had a Raptor too. The 2018 back when it came out. I also preferred by 2022 Ram 2500 over my ‘22 G63 on road trips. People that have never owned a G would hear that and think it’s crazy. But you know! Test drive one a Prospector first. I’m curious to hear your opinion. Would you go XL or just the regular one with 37’s?
