*I hope I'm not the only one asking myself, "Can a violent being still be honorable?".* I think the violence of the external body can be without a lust for bloodshed within the soul. That's kind of what stoicism is about. I do worry if that's attainable though because I'm like many other people who are tempted by hatred. I understand my hatred and it is hatred for the corruption in the modern world. So if I slayed the corrupt in the modern world I think my temptation for bloodlust would be stated. In reality though, can anyone really purge the world of it's corruption? I don't think so. I thought the hatred in people comes from ignorance and tribalism... What if they're just like me? They know enough to want to fight but when they fight they become the fodder of the inferno that is war. Atherain is a great band but the lyrics (especially in this song) are more profound than I think people realize at the first listen.

I guess those guys will revive melodic death metal!
