Only Giselle is fluent. Comprehension is different from fluency. Yes the other members can speak english but it is just a basic conversational english.

A lot of the times idols voices become lower pitch when speaking in english but Winters voice gets higher pitched when she speaks english lol she is so cute

Although they aren’t fully fluent in English (besides Giselle) they speak English very well. I would call the entire group an English speaking group. NingNing & Winter’s voices are so cute!!

i love coming back to this video because you can see how naturally ingrained into their conversations english is. the group dynamic feels bilingual because you'll see them code switch often or say a few token english words (w/c IMO speak to their level of confidence in speaking a non-native language, they seem to just have fun w/ it & don't pressure themselves)

it's so funny when Winter points the obvious like "you're not an English man, you're a Korean girl" and "I think he's a liar" 😂

I really appreciate it when idols try to speak English and put in the effort to make English content for their international fan. I always have special places in my heart for Aespa & ITZY for this reason 🥰 (most groups have their “English speakers members” but it just feels much nicer to see all members actively and having fun interacting with fan in English)

Winter is way past the beginner state, she can understand everything that she reads and hears, she just needs to talk more comfortably and more fluently but she's intermediate at least, same with Ningning. If I had make a quick assessment I'd say Winter is B1-2, Ning B2, Karina C1 and Giselle is practically at a native level

I think SM starts to aware of this, they make their trainee learn english along the way their train period. If they want to expand their market, their artist need to learn english in order to promote overseas
