this is why i like SM groups. they are WELL-TRAINED to do their job. make good music, sing live, deliver good performances, and staying true to their group concept to be trend-setters. each group in SM has their own sound and talent, which is nice to have. this is what i look for in k-pop and they do it well!! (except SM gives shit ass promotions and poorly manages their idols)

Yeah, I agree and also a lot of the time they have a pre-recording because I think Christopher had talked about it on live once where they would record them doing it live because they have to do the dance multiple times and it gets tiring to have to sing dance so they would do a pre-recording and that’s what they would go off of so that’s why sometimes it’s like they’re singing live you hear them breathing and everything but actually it’s a pre-recording

I'm glad that after all the senseless hatred towards Aespa since their rookie days where was heavily criticized, they are now turning to see and recognize how talented the girls are. No. It is not the same. In a studio they are in a controlled and comfotable enviroment where they can sing all the times it is needed until the producer or director is satisfy with it, they are not dancing and can have all the rest needed to sing right. In a studio recording they record by phrase, word or line, it is unnusual for them to sing a whole song in one go. They have too their coaches there if needed in order to instruct them how to do a note. All that without counting the touchs made for the producer. In a concert you are moving, there is no controled enviroment, you have to sing many, many songs one after the other, there are a lot of things going on and one mistake can produce others. Sing live in a stage is different that sing inside a record cabine. Once that said, that does not mean Aespa can not sing live, I think they can and that is why is so frustrating all the lips synch.

Maybe SM just don't want to make them too tired with live singing, they tell them to lipsync to give their vocals enough rest and avoid vocal injuries which are very likely to occur during live vocals. Sorry for my bad english, I'm not very good at it

You can say to give their vocals a break but then they go and do a bunch of concerts which are all live with way more energy and dancing for longer periods of time.

Some groups struggle with live singing, due to the company not training them enough. Some groups are not allowed to sing live for some dumb ass reason of by the company. Aespa can sing live SM just doesn’t want to showcase it, it’s beyond ridiculous.

The only songs that were actually with the mics on was aenergy and the ones with hand mics, the rest, was obviously with mics off, since you couldn't hear any hard breathing or variation in their voices

I don't really understand why SM don't let them sing live. Like, all them have capability of sing really well while dancing and (at least for me) Aespa's choreography doesn't seems to difficult to perform. The only song I feel they would have some difficulty is Black Mamba because the choreography seems a bit tiring but the rest of their songs, I feel they could dance and sing live perfectly well.

Thats what always got to be about kpop. I Know the talent is real, the vocals, the dancing, the beauty. But with all that dancing and moving about youll get out of breath fast and wont be able to sing properly. Im ok with lip singing in kpop because i know the talent is really there.

Yeah, I agree and also a lot of the time they have a pre-recording because I think Christopher had talked about it on live once where they would record them doing it live because they have to do the dance multiple times and it gets tiring to have to sing dance so they would do a pre-recording and that’s what they would go off of so that’s why sometimes it’s like they’re singing live you hear them breathing and everything but actually it’s a pre-recording
Winter's vibrato is the death of me
I'm glad that after all the senseless hatred towards Aespa since their rookie days where was heavily criticized, they are now turning to see and recognize how talented the girls are. I hope Aespa continues to grow because of her great talent, they are the whole package. I look forward to their next comeback.

That’s not what people are talking about. It’s singing LIVE. Aespa can do it. SM is just being an ass for not allowing them to sing live when they can. There’s this whole bs that they have to sound perfect. It’s ridiculous. If your watching a concert they should sing live period.

No. It is not the same. In a studio they are in a controlled and comfotable enviroment where they can sing all the times it is needed until the producer or director is satisfy with it, they are not dancing and can have all the rest needed to sing right. In a studio recording they record by phrase, word or line, it is unnusual for them to sing a whole song in one go. They have too their coaches there if needed in order to instruct them how to do a note. All that without counting the touchs made for the producer. In a concert you are moving, there is no controled enviroment, you have to sing many, many songs one after the other, there are a lot of things going on and one mistake can produce others. Sing live in a stage is different that sing inside a record cabine. Once that said, that does not mean Aespa can not sing live, I think they can and that is why is so frustrating all the lips synch.
It is not a surprise that people don’t think they can sing live. They are as stable as it is prerecorded. It is more than perfect.

Maybe SM just don't want to make them too tired with live singing, they tell them to lipsync to give their vocals enough rest and avoid vocal injuries which are very likely to occur during live vocals. Sorry for my bad english, I'm not very good at it

@@manusia-wf6hj That is literally what they train to do though, if they aren't going to sing live on shows and tv appearances then what was the point of all those years of training. You can say to give their vocals a break but then they go and do a bunch of concerts which are all live with way more energy and dancing for longer periods of time.

Some groups struggle with live singing, due to the company not training them enough. Some groups are not allowed to sing live for some dumb ass reason of by the company. Aespa can sing live SM just doesn’t want to showcase it, it’s beyond ridiculous.

The only songs that were actually with the mics on was aenergy and the ones with hand mics, the rest, was obviously with mics off, since you couldn't hear any hard breathing or variation in their voices

I'm not really an Aespa fan but I think they're pretty talented. I like some of their songs and see a lot of potential on them, but the fact of they lipsync so much make people underestimate their skills and think about them just as pretty and talentless faces.

I don't really understand why SM don't let them sing live. Like, all them have capability of sing really well while dancing and (at least for me) Aespa's choreography doesn't seems to difficult to perform. The only song I feel they would have some difficulty is Black Mamba because the choreography seems a bit tiring but the rest of their songs, I feel they could dance and sing live perfectly well.
