This is the 2007 version recorded for 'Guitar Hero: Aerosmith'
Lyrics in vid and description :)
We all live on the edge of town
Where we all live ain't a soul around
People start a-comin'
All we do is just a-grin
Said we gotta move out
'Cause the city's movin' in
I said we gotta move out
'Cause the city's movin' in
Tell me who you know
And I'll tell you who, too
Go see my friend and he'll set you free
Tell me what you see and
Mabye I can go too
No one knows the way but maybe me
Nobody goes there
Nobody shows where
Nobody knows where you can find me, yeah
Good mornin' glory, Hallelujah to ya
What is the story, what's been goin' through ya
Livin' like a king of the fat of the land
Workin' like a dog in a rock n' roll band
We're movin', we're gettin' out
We're movin', without a doubt
We're movin', we're goin' far
We're movin', oh yes we are
Nobody goes there
Nobody shows where
Nobody goes where you can find me
Nobody knows there
Nobody shows where
Nobody goes where you can find me, ah
Oh, Lordy, Lordy, Lordy...
(Guitar Solo)
Level with God
And you're in tune with the universe
Talk with yourself
And you'll hear what you wanna know
Gotta rise above
'Cause below it's only gettin' worse
Life in time
Will take you where you wanna go
Where you wanna go, where you wanna go
Where you goin'....
(Guitar Solo)
Good mornin' glory, Hallelujah to ya
What is the story, what's been goin' through ya
Livin' like a king of the fat of the land
Workin' like a dog in a rock n' roll band
We're movin', we're gettin' out
We're movin', without a doubt
We're movin', we're goin' far
We're movin', oh yes we are
Nobody knows there
Nobody shows where
Nobody goes where you can find me
Nobody knows there
Nobody shows where
Nobody goes where you can't find me
Round n' round...
We all live on the edge of town
Where we all live ain't a soul around
People start a-comin'
All we do is just a-grin
We gotta move out
'Cause the city's movin' in
I said we gotta move out
'Cause the city's movin' in

"incomprehensible screaming" LOOOOOOOL
I bought Guitar Hero World Tour back in 2010, and suddenly I had all the GH games and Rock Band games and some other rock music games, I played through all of them. Before that, I had no idea what Metallica, Aerosmith, Beatles, Blink182, Van Halen or Dragonforce are. Rock has then become my life. In 2011, after my birthday, I bought a guitar and started learning guitar. I had learnt several Metallica and Aerosmith songs, rock has become my life. Rock, hell, it is a WAY of life.

In my opinion Brad has been the better guitarist since they formed the band. Dudes a beast.

@@trentparris7676 kinda like Mick Taylor just standing back there doing it better than them all.
The drumming in the beginning is why I love this song. Put headphones in and it's like thunder

My favorite also.I’m trying to get my band to do this song
"Incomprehensible screaming" LOL!
Thanks to that game Rock music is now my life
Here on the night 50 years ago when Aerosmith first played this song as Aerosmith - November 6th 1970 - November 6th 2020. So spine chilling to ponder the dawn of a new era for Rock while listening to this, and feeling and knowing that greatness is timeless and out of time. Long live Aerosmith and Rock and Roll!!!
1:01 Am I the only one who gets HYPED ASF from the little drum thing?

But the version on the album isn’t as good as this one in my opinion. It’s cool to see what it started out as but i think this version is much better
incomprehensible screaming, epic
I think that in Joe's book he said that he thought the original recording lacked the real Aerosmith balls or something like that....THIS recording sure has balls!
I prefer the original to any song But they did a pretty good job with the new version too
I physically feel the need to hear this one from time to time ⚔️🎸🎼🤘🏼🤠♠️✊🏼🌺🇨🇭🇫🇷☘️🇩🇪🛡
It doesn't get enough credit, it is great :(

Goddamn I love that riff in this tune!!! :)
I LOVE Tom and his BASS!!!!
1:04 gets me hyped. The drum roll. 🥁
I gonna Movin Out ahgaihn and again man
dat solo... oh gaaaaaawd!
@JAMoore0123 that's because in the beginning steven Tyler was nervous and wanted to hide his real voice behind his "Kermit the frog voice" (as he calls it in his memoir) but over time that changed and you can hear the difference a little bit when you listen to "Rocks" and "Toys In The Attic".
Joe Perry is the ultimate badass when it comes to guitar...
I think they over produced this version. I'll take the '73 version any day.

Right on the nose
They are pretty good.
Anytime (:
sawem 3 times , once joe and steven were arms length , it waz great
listen to the livin on the edge solo by aerosmith amazing
I dunno, it lacks the same soul as the original, and Steven's epic early bluesy voice. Both versions are cool, but the original had that feel that this version can't recapture, in my opinion.
what musician can write a song like this at their first work? Fucking great song!! i'm listening this song for a month i think(without interruption)
There is something I can't quite put my finger on but that whole side of the album has this haunting to it, like the guitars are slightly out of tune or something I can't explain it but the other songs on side 2 all have it, Walking the Dog big time but Mama Kin too. All of em had that and according to the guys on Wikipedia they all hated it, I thought it was brilliant, they wobbled like the Stones who also put Walkin the Dog on their first album but Aerosmith wins that one hands down, they made it their own. Read the wiki on their first album I love Tylers voice on this album, especially on One-way street come to find out he was insecure with his voice so he pushed it and to him sounded like Kermit which does kind of sound like that but I still love it. Another one for the greatest songs playlist .
zajebiste
What is the album called for this song because I like this version better then the others
muitoo locaa
@sableyefan My friend took it from the games soundtrack somehow, you might wanna try find out how to do that because I dunno where you can download it?

la verdad..!
@HippyManEyeballs1 I understand it alright... He was saying "I'm pure awesomeness!! yeah yah leoh yeah..."
0:40 is that a Hofner Viola Bass? Cool.
August 29th 2015 .
Probably there beat song ever, next to dream on and draw the line, but all there songs rock.=3
I like the "Slow and sweet" Part d1
its not on an album this is the version from the guitar hero game however the original version was on their self titled album
Honestly, his question was perfectly logical, all of the remakes made for the Guitar Hero game don't exist in a physical format. They have to be downloaded or played on the game...
@ravinglunac You're welcome :)
actually really easy to play guitar on
@dennercassio
3 жыл бұрын
I'll check it out. It seems easy yes
The song that started them off.....
no way to get these remakes on CD? Anyone?
@HippyManEyeballs1 The Devil scream :P
Love 2:36 to 3:10
@HippyManEyeballs1 Wait was that a good or bad statement toward Aerosmith
awesome riff of joe perry

@SonicRacer17 Who can DISLIKE this?
@pixelsteady no I played the entire thing on hard without failing. It takes at least 2 hours
manda andarilho
when you listen to the original, then this, steven sounds like 2 completely different people
Wat album is this
@sableyefan Video2Mp3 did the trick for me!
@Seanlightning400 origional is more raw and just classic, this is just straight up amaxzing though. i wish i could get the new versions on cd :(
NO! They did it for the Guitar Hero Aerosmith game
Why'd they re-record the songs from the original album?
this is how i fell bout arizona how phoenix is joinig tucson just like wat happened with california
@cavegirl99 what?
i honestly have no idea where this song is. I have no idea where i can download it.

Even though this is like 5 years later, it's never on itunes or major music sites like that since they only did the remake for the video game, but flvto is a youtube converter that's always worked for me.

@LedZeplican aerosmith really never got shitty, only time I can honestly say so was that short period when brad and Joe left and Jimmy crespo and Rick dufay came in....I mean come on,you can honestly say that songs like "Love in An Elevator" and "Amazing" were pretty damn good songs and that was going into the 90s..Aerosmith has evolved in so many ways, for the good and the bad
@DallasJRC I meant to reply to salbeyefan, not to you. Thats why my comment is twice
Alex Donaldson, I think maybe he plays a note, on one string, and bends a lower string up to the same note, and as they won't ever be exactly the same frequency, you get some dissonance. Maybe?

West Arkeen Joe's a feedback artist. A lot of what your hearing is calculated feedback. Kind of like a theremin works except with a guitar and an amplifier instead of a hand going up against a antenna.
Steven sounds a lot more mature
