This song was the Joe Perry Project's first solo single in 1980. Aerosmith redid it with new verses for their first 1985 comeback single. They play it as their first song live in 2017. Joe Perry has gotten a lot of mileage out of this great song! 😎

For the history buffs...this was filmed at the Orpheum in Boston, local radio in Mass and R.I. advertised to call for tickets if you wanted to watch the filming of a Aero video. It spanned about 5 hrs and they also played other Aero material between takes. They did lots of takes to make the video. They probably played at least 5 other songs to thank the fans in attendance. I got my free tickets through a radio station. The band was pumped cause they were back together...happy new year!

Wasn't this album the first after they cleaned up their substance addictions ? You could make an argument that they were even bigger after sobering up , even if it it was more commercial then their early albums . Their first 3 - 4 albums had no filler tracks on them at all .

No you are wrong dude. This album almost broke the band again. They struggled hard to finish it. It was on the Walk This Way single w RUN DMC that made them get their sh*t together and create Permanent Vacation. The album that brought Aerosmith back for good. Say what u want about Bruce but they wouldn't have survived the 80s and 90s with this 70s hard rock. The album has it's moments but it was very outdated in style when it was released.

I remember picking up the album at Camelot Music in 1985 for like $3...either that or I stole it...can't quite remember. But my buds and I loved this song! They were considered to be washed up, drugged out at this point, but I always thought "hey, drugs worked for the Beatles, Zep, Floyd...so why not Aerosmith. I mean, come on...anyone who says that "Permanent Vacation", a sober album, was better than "Toys In The Attic" or "Rocks", not so sober albums, has a distorted view. Maybe I do too...but I sure as shit liked "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion" WAAY better than "Crazy" or "Angel"...just saying.
