I could end up being completely wrong, but what I think MIGHT happen, is that she will be killed at the end, but in Zack's time line, she is unconscious from whatever happened that killed the other members, and she will wake up in his alternate time line after dying in Cloud's time line. I think this is what Marlene hints at when she says "when she wakes up, a scary man is going to kill her".

​@@a.thomas9734Exactly. If you ever watched the TV show called Dark, you'll understand what I'm talking about. The other time-line was created after what happened in part 1. The shadows/ghost did interfered at some moment.. And did what we call paradoxes. In others words.. A glitch in the matrix that did created an alternative time-line. Basically, she is dead. And will "die" again.. When the game ends at part 3 if the "first" time-line is fixed. What created that glitch is still unknown. But probably.. Alternate time-line will fade away.. Also. Note that "fade away" and memories are heavily used in Rebirth. I might be wrong tho.. Maybe we'll have an happy ending !

I say do this cuz if aerith or tifa lives were just gonna have an emotional repeat if FFXs sappy ending, either kill all 3 of them or dont kill any of them but either way it should end on a positive happy note and not on an ominous cliff hanger.

He does a total 180 in remake it seems. Maybe the planet slowly curing his madness and hes now working against his younger self from the original timeline, he actually wants them to defy their fate from the original timeline. Instead of sephiroth being a villain this time hes more of an anti-hero but this is just my speculation having played only the OG, R & having watched ACC.

I think there is a timeline. The very start of the original FF7 is immediately after Zack was gunned down and killed. I think the Remake is on a timeline out ahead of the original events and things in the Remake the characters are changing things to affect the original timeline. The only major question I have is what happened that would cause Zack to survive being attacked by all those soldiers? So many questions will be answered soon.

Yup. Sephiroth and Aerith seems to know what is going to happen, as far as Sephiroth goes, Aerith is the greatest hindrance whom he failed to kill before 'she did something' which inevitably result in his failure and death. Or rather to Sephiroth, Aerith is 'that disgusting woman who keeps getting in my way, I must kill her earlier this time' and may do it more brutally out of spite.

FFVII had “Eyes on Me” FFIX had ”Melodies of Life” FFX had ”Suteki Da Ne” Now finally, all these years later, FFVII has its own love ballad in “No Promises to Keep”. Hearing this for the first time felt like a full circle moment. Like it was always meant to have this song, and now it finally does.

Ff7 is one of the rare communities where fans of both female characters actually get along instead of fighting and trash talking You can like tifa or you can like aerith and still get along without being at each other's throat all the time

I don't believe for a second Aeris will die this time. That would be tantamount to just writing a story where in the remake everyone dies and the world ends. It would be that insulting and that much of a waste of our time. The theme song of part 1 is about Cloud promising not to lose Aeris this time, the entire ending of the game is about breaking fate to avert the future that would have come otherwise, the second theme song is Aeris answering Cloud. "This time I will never let you go"/"Take my hand, never let me go". Plus they showed the scene in the trailer that SHOULD be shocking if it happens. It's a fake out.

Remake may just be to give Zack his own arc and story that isn't mixed up with Cloud's (technically the story of Sephiroth going mad is Zack's story, but most of the game it's presented as Cloud's, and so most people still associate it with Cloud) but he'll still end up dying and making that sacrifice - because that's the kind of man he is. @@jackylee5850she typically doesn’t sing for things she is doing voice roles for + this song was probably written/produced in English as Uematsu has a tendency to prefer English in his voiced pieces. Square as a whole does as well; FF16’s ending song is in English and only English - as are most of FF14’s voiced themes.

I tried to sing along with the melody and they rhymed well! So I think it's not really a Japanese translation but there may be a Japanese equivalent of the song that has not been released! @@blitzvg9975 Actually FF16 and FF14's theme songs are not written by Uematsu. Almost all theme songs by Uematsu have both English and Japanese versions, whether officially used in the game or not. Hollow has both versions, too. And the Japanese subtitles of No Promises to Keep that are shown in the Japanese trailer actually rhyme well with the melody but aren't matching closely with the English lyrics in terms of meaning. So I think there may be a Japanese equivalent of this song, but not released just yet.

While other girls my age were losing their virginity, I was staying-up late trying to figure out how to save Aerith. I spent months replaying the game a second time to see if I could save her from Sephiroth's strike. The cut-scene never changed. In this way, it was like watching a Studio Gibli movie(like "Boy and the Heron")... Perhaps more so if they combined the games aesthetics with FF9 (another one of my favorite Final Fantasies). In 7...I leveled-up all my characters to 9999, got both ultimate weapons with the black chocobos. This game taught me the idea of certain things being written into the tapestry of our lives that are destined to happen. Kind of like the mother in "Boy and his Heron", near the end of the movie the mother revealed to her son that she knew she was going to be born and give birth to him, only to die in a fire during his youth. I was pretty traumatized by not having the ability, no matter how strong I got, to save Aerith. I'm hoping the creators of this remake give us die-hard fans the chance to save her as, for me, this was the most brutal death in character-building history of games... Given her kindness, natural beauty and loving nature (and hauntingly beautiful music score). Here's to hoping we get a chance to save Aerith! To me, she symbolizes Gaia (planet earth) itself! Perhaps we need to see her die again to realize we need to give a $h!t about how we care for others and this world?

You kind of summed it up at the end there, I personally never wanted to save her, loss and pain are as essential to experience as joy. Aerith and FF7 are so iconic because of her death, because of the impact it had on us, take that away and it takes away one of the core legacies of one of the most important games of our lifetime. I’m glad she still died, don’t get me wrong, I’m heartbroken all over again but people need to understand the importance of this

This song reminds me so much of Eyes On Me by Faye Wong from the beginning to the middle part, except Eyes doesn't climax at the end and sounds more melancholic.

The voice is beautiful but it doesn't go with Areith's Appearance but as an Old Fan Of Final Fantasy 7 i can forgive that because this theme song is so beautiful so new and nostalgic🥰🙏🏽❤❤❤

@@Ico_ how many times do people have to debunk that theory when aerith herself debunks it on her date with cloud? aerith is initially attracted to cloud because he reminded her of zack, small manerisms, his kindness etc... but she quickly realized that they're very different and yet she still ended up falling for cloud. hence why on her date with him she repeats over and over "i want to meet… you” (the real cloud, she knows he's hidding behind a persona). even in official material outside the game it’s always stated that she loved cloud more than zack, they always focused more on aerith and cloud both platonically and romantically. the western fandom is the one obsessed in making zack the center of everything, especially when it comes to aerith and clouds bond.

All I see is how people can finally sleep tight, knowing their fantasy couple isn't in danger anymore, and it casts a negative light on the fandom in general.
