I have a V1 sling. I saw that comment about it being stolen off someone. I decided to use a duty belt guard, similar to what law enforcement officer use on their duty belts. It stops someone I clipping the duty belt as it covers the clip.

Also i travel to Asia a lot. and Security will always be an issue. even if you wear something that's secured. they can just cut off the string with a sharp blade. Best to do is put the sling bag in front of you and put jacket to cover your back side that's what i do.

I've been using the original city sling for a bit over a month now and I've been loving it. I think the big buckle is quite convenient when you want to take off the sling, but I do get that it might be easy for someone else to take it from you. To me the best new features are the tighter divider with the zipper and elastic pockets and the passthrough for the strap/umbrella holder (very ingenious btw). I'm bummed out about buying this right before the new version came out, but I love my City Sling nevertheless. Great video as always guys! Keep up the good work.

I am the proud owner of this bag and after watching your flight simulation video, I got some small circular cables with screw closures that you can then pass between the two separate parts of the magnetic attachment system. When you're on the move you don't need to, you can be reactive, but its use becomes useful in crowds, in queues, stuck to other people or other situations where people can take the time to be in contact with your bag, which, in any case, you will take care to put on your chest with your hand on it.

The maximum strap length on City Sling 2 is 46" and it can be adjusted on both sides so you can completely loosen the rear side + tighten the front side of the strap, then the buckle should be in front instead of the back. City Sling 1's strap is much shorter so you can't keep the buckle in front, but it is more suitable for fanny pack mode.

Nice review! Definitely agree on most points but the security part just doesn’t seem like a huge issue to me. At least, it’s a constant that will be a “problem” on just about every sling bag on the market unless they are using some sort of specific anti-theft buckle. I think if someone wants the bag, they will get it but the best way to avoid that is just awareness of where the bag is at when moving through specific areas or regions where theft odds are increased. All in all, this is a worthy update of an already amazing bag, I’m enjoying my x-pac version too to bottom. The updates are spot on and the addition of the pass through in the back increases overall functionality. I could nitpick a couple things (zipper pulls are nice looking but still large and dangling for one), but, like the V1 before it, I’ll be using this one for years to come. Cheers!

I would prefer to have the buckle on one side or the other, not in the middle of the back where it may feel uncomfortable when seated against a hard surface. Easy fix to preventing any theft from behind is to lash both sides together with Paracord. One may lose the ability to don on/off with ease, but I would prefer to have the security and simply sling it overhead.

I have the original City Sling and realistically this isn't worth me upgrading to, however, the ability to store away the straps is really tempting! My only real issue with the original sling was the buckle, I ended up replacing it with an Austrialpin Cobra buckle (it was one of the only nice 50mm wide buckles I could find). Now it's more secure and also looks and feels much nicer.

Well, you mentioned that it isn't as obvious on how to open the buckle of the City Sling 2. True, if you see it from far away, but if you are closer - like in a mall or other crowded places - you clearly see how to open it because of the little arrows that show the direction. I was already sold to the City Sling 1, now I am thinking about getting the new version. But the arrows on the buckle are a bit of a concern for me. I think its something I would put black tape on first, but that would ruin the nice premium feel and design of the product, wouldnt it? What do you think about this matter? Overall: Love all your videos. I am really into backpacks and stuff that you can fill with other stuff, so I love all your videos and great work! Keep it up!

@@Nomads.Nation yeah, after getting the sling. I wear my backpack whenever I go out, in case I buy stuff (almost always) , since surgeries in my thumb joints make it difficult to carry bags in my hands. So all the stuff I need either go in my pockets or hang from my belt loops- bulging cargos- or the front of my backpack, making me take it off all the time. So now I've been putting all those "accessories" in the sling, which nestle neatly on my side, against the back pack, or even attached to a carabiner to the backpack. It works, and I hardly notice it, making accessing phone, keys, tissues, sanitizer, extra masks or whatever much, much easier: just swing the sling to the front- voila!
