I’d like to introduce the 17th Century feminist poet Aemilia Lanyer to you. Lanyer was born five years after Shakespeare and died at the age of 76. She was the first Englishwoman to publish a substantial volume of original poems and to attract patronage. We're looking at a small section of her feminist poetry collection Salve Deus Rex Judaeorum today.
