So very true bcz Eagles cannot incubate Eggs or brood Eaglets if they've lost their nest in a territorial dispute!

Seems to me Gabby trusted Beau,she left him alone with the egg .. watching him nearby checking if he is up to no good!!😅 She gives loud vocals whenever he starts digging the nest! Reminds me of Chet from West End. 2 straight years he wouldn't stay on the nest because the Ravens would attac, years. Thunder went 2 years with no babies. FINALLY he stayed on the nest. Babies. He was inexperienced

I think she was watching him from a distance and saw him jump on the nest so she starting calling out to him. Probably a good thing she did because he started digging again. Oh boy! I sure hope the egg makes it. I remember Angel the red tailed hawk had to keep a close eye on her chick and every time Tom came to the nest she was watching and came flying in. Hopefully Gabby will keep close eye on the egg.

This is “real “ nature at work, if you need to take a break a few days from watching. Do. Taking a few days off will help with your stress and worry and that way you won’t stress others on whatever the plight is. ( I have to do this at times ) you have to trust the eagles 🦅

The minuses of social media… Im good at ignoring a post if I see 😢 or the words are over the top. But your totally correct!! At the very least for us - its totally intriguing. The eagles didn’t come back from near extinction 40 yrs ago because they are weak and don’t know what they are doing. And many of us at least 50 yrs old, have been able to see the success story unfold!

OK Beau it’s time to eagle up big guy ! I know becoming a responsible Male is hard to learn . But your out of time ! Time to take care of your egg silly . Thank You Lady Hawk for showing everyone this . I wonder how many times this happens in the wild we never see . Looks like being a parent of anything doesn’t come with instructions ! Beau is young and slow but from my observation, Gabby is trying to explain to him and teach him. Her initial response seemed to question where was a food gift, but then she was observing and teaching. She has to be able to trust beau either to bring food or watch the egg so she can get herself a meal.

There's no knowing if the egg was even fertilized. You seem quite distraught, have you thought about taking a break? If you can't handle nature maybe watching a different nest might help 💖

​@@FrigFrogGaming It was incubated...Beau is very young and no experience ...He needs to learn and get on the same page as Gabby, she needs help with food, he needs to sit on the egg while Gabby takes her break...At least he protects the nest...As far as taking a break or watching another nest, bad stuff happens at every nest eventually...If you can't handle nature then don't watch cause its not always nice...

@@chogan201 Just because it was incubated doesn't mean it automatically will hatch or is even fertilized? And yes he needs to do all those things but if he doesn't right away it's probably because HE NEEDS EXPERIENCE IN ORDER TO LEARN WHAT TO DO. All we can do is hope for the best. Taking a break would help tremendously if it's that hard to watch!

Nature is hard to watch sometimes, but you can’t blame Beau as if he intentionally “doomed” the egg. There is nothing to make up for - life does not keep points, we can’t put our emotions and standards on wild animals. We can only hope for the best and accept nature as it is vs. criticizing the eagles. I agree it’s easy to get very invested and upset though.

It's hard to watch this, I feel for Gabby and the eggs. Her and Beau are so out of synch its like Gabby is trying to tell him to help her. I hope Beau doesn't bury this egg too. 😢

Beau is very young ..He doesn't know what to do and Gabby thinks he will pick it up ..Beau isn't bringing her food , he isn't laying on the eggs,...I wished Gabby was with M15.... I just pray this egg survives...I'm worried about it hatching and what Beau will do then like feeding the baby...

It's nature people , and this creatures need to learn ,about thier roles , no one is born perfect and all knowing , thankfully it's just an egg , and not a live eagle

I wonder if Gaby will lay a 3rd egg.

Congrats to Gabby for her second egg but I'm quite confused about a couple of things First has anybody seen the first egg? I haven't seen it since he buried it and does Gabby think the egg is gone??? Secondly... How long does it take for a new dad to learn how to incubate??? If anybody can answer these that would be wonderful!!!

The first egg remains buried in the nest, and so is not visible and by now it's no longer viable either. Gabby would have seen that it had disappeared on the day it got buried, but that's all she knows. Fortunately, eagles live in the present, so she will have moved on and is now concerned only with her current egg.

Hi Lady Hawk, thank you for the video. What happened to the egg #1? Is it gone to the depth and is lost? What is the point of having any eaglets at all when Beau doesn't bring food? Gabby can't do it alone when eaglets are just hatched!

Nobody knows how far deep the egg is. What is the point of leaving this comment when you don't know what the future holds? Do you think he's just never going to bring food? The egg was just laid. Maybe taking a break would be more beneficial instead of assuming the worst. 💖

@@FrigFrogGaming OK know it all...where is the first egg and why did experienced Gabby not tear the nest apart looking for it? He buried it , she came to the nest and did not do what a mother would do...look for that egg until she found it ...viable or not we don't know but she didn't uncover every inch of that nest . BTW Eagles don't need XRAY vision.....but they protect those eggs to the end.

Write whatever you want but don't expect no feedback or further opinions when you make harsh comments and say things like "What's the point." The point is he's inexperienced. That's it. Mistakes happen, especially if they're an eagle that doesn't seem to have any experience or know- how of what to do. All I ask if for y'all not demonize Beau and Gabby. It's hard for a new couple.

You can hear Gabby in the background saying "I'm watching you!". I was thinking how similar Beau's actions are to that new female of Alex's over at th Kisatchie nest. That Kisatchie female guards nest, brings food to nest and eats it, tries to bury eggs (not as well as Beau) and when Alex leaves nest she follows. Both different yet similar. 🤔

I have to be honest. I so hope that Beau is able to sneak in and clear the tennis ball-sized elephant in the room again. He clearly is not willing to incubate it. Hopefully, Gabby won't try to mate with another eagle, and she will use her strategy from shortly before she laid the first egg and very gently and slowly keep working with Beau. I really think that is going to be her winning hand. Then, I hope that she can get one more clutch in that Beau is convinced is really his.

It's not that he doesn't think the eggs are his it's that he more than likely doesn't understand what they even are.

Beau is going to give me a nervous breakdown if he bury this egg! 🙈😢

Hopefully his hormones or instincts will kick in very soon. He has to incubate the eggs also and start bringing her food gifts! She can't do it all alone. I hope these eggs will make it to hatching and he starts bringing in food at the very least! Funny how i don't remember any very young males that just don't get it at all! Maybe he is still to young.

There's a possibility and a very REAL one that no eaglets will come from this nest, and that's honestly something you may have to accept or expect rather than worrying. Gabby is his first mate and he just learned how to mate. Expecting him to know everything and get everything right will probably make you worry even more 🤷🏻‍♀️ just a thought.

Yes this is going to be different than your other nests...Gabby might lose patience and run him off and it's true that these eggs might not make it ..But all we can do is watch and see what happens...M15 could give him a lesson or two...lol

i feel bad for Gabby, i don't think this egg is going to come to fruition ( hatch)..this eagle is still too young and inexperienced not only did he bury and lose the first egg, he doesn't know to incubate this one 😔💔( i also don't believe these eggs were his) i think she mated with a different eagle.... she laid her first egg less than 48 hours after this eagle sort of finally got it right ...

Beau is slow. And he got a small head.
