Sara Haider is a singer, songwriter, and film actress from Karachi. In 2014, Sara joined Coke Studio season 7 where she served as backing vocalist. She gained public recognition in Coke Studio season 8 where she made her debut with the song you are reacting to now. She graduated from American Academy of Dramatic Arts and won the prestigious Charles Jehlinger Award. She has also performed in Velo Sound Station.

My, my...you guys have "NAILED" this one with your reaction, simply superb, honest & joyful ;) :) This song is originally from the Pakistani movie IK TERA SAHARA (1963), & was separately sung by two fabulous singers of that era Naseem Begum & Saleem Raza, & was written by one of the great Pakistani poets Qateel Shifai. The movie was a hit in Pakistan. This cover of the song is a masterclass in its own way & Ali Zafar & Sara Haider have given a new life to this oldie which is pleasing & sensational at the same time due to the singers' chemistry with each other & the music arrangement. I'm sooo happy that you both loved it. This version had a big backlash from the traditionalists. What a brave version, they gave it a bluesy touch. Ali Zafar and Sara took it to a new level. For a sad lost love song, the lyrics are great.

I've loved the song ever since I heard it for first time and especially Sara Haider. The way she sings it, is amazing. Sara Haider was on backing vocals before that, you could spot her especially in older seasons. In this song, when she goes a pitch higher while replying to AZ is simple my favorite.

Sara Haider had an amazing Jazz band called “Teeen”, no body supported it no one cared that is where she actually shinned for me in her band. Listen to the song “Mona” and “Baarishein” by her band.

Ha ha! Totally enjoyed the reaction, because that was totally my reaction many years ago. Sara Haider was part of the backing vocals team in CS for a few seasons, and one always noticed her for how much fun she seemed to be having all the time - it was great to see her take centre stage when she did with this song. It is always risky experimenting with the classics, but Ali Zafar has proven in CS now that he can get these experiments right. I can’t seem to recall if you have got to Ali Zafar’s handling of perhaps one of the most beautiful Urdu songs in CS: Jaan-e-Baharan. Because if you haven’t, then it has to be your next reaction.

Sara Haider has been a backup vocalist for Coke Studio for a few years like Rachel Viccaji.

This is a classic from my parents' time...the english and most of sara haider's part was added for this version...always been one of my favs from coke studio. Sara hauder started off as a background singers in coke...this was the first time when we got to see her in the lime light...she has really strong vocals...she even over shadows THE ali zafar at times. Are you familiar with Strepsil Stereo Acapellas done by Ali Noor and the gang??

Hey Jyoti, there was a song "Zara Chehra" in Coke Studio Season 7. It was an original by Zoheb Hassan back in his time and he himself has done the remake in CS7. The song is very beautiful but Amir Zaki (1967-2017) made it legendary with a once-in-a-lifetime display of guitar and bass. You should definitely check it out.
