Adventures With Easton: Republic Services of Anaheim Yard Visit

Easton planned to visit the Anaheim yard and invited me to join him. We first searched for commercial garbage trucks in Brea, but we couldn't find anything, which was really odd. We eventually made our way to the yard and found a food truck set up next to where 2 front loaders and a rolloff were parked in a lot next to the yard. We entered the yard to find tables and chairs set up with most of the parking lot completely empty. We saw all of the trucks packed in the repair shop, the back of the yard, and on the street adjacent to the yard. We wondered what was going on, so we asked an employee, and she said that it was for a truck rodeo, an event where drivers go through an obstacle course with their trucks. I met the operations manager again, so that was cool. We couldn't stay, as it was an invite-only event, and I had plans later in the day. It was cool to finally see 2 of the 5 new front loaders we got! They haven't been registered, so they haven't been put into service yet. I had heard that they were supposed to be Peterbilt 520 McNeilus Meridians, but instead, they were Peterbilt 320 Heil CNrGs, as indicated by the 2 sets of headlights. It's sad to see less Diesel trucks in the yard, but I like the new CNG trucks we got. Enjoy!

Nice video! Definitely starting to take a liking to Republic's fleet as they move away from Autocar/Rapid Rail and towards Peterbilt/anything besides Rapid Rail haha. And the more I hear about them, the more I've come to respect them. Props to them for hosting events like the Road-E-O, that's really cool. Seems like a good solid company.

Thanks! I totally agree with what you said, I like Heil Rapid Rails but it is nice to see a change to my favorite side loader, the McNeilus ZR. In my opinion, out of all the Republic Services yards, Anaheim has the best staff and some of the most well-maintained trucks. Funny you mention Peterbilt. My yard got brand new Pete 320 Heil CNrG's as seen in the video, and I filmed one yesterday doing Brea's Sunday commercial route. It isn't a lot of video so I will have to wait next week to see if it comes again. I need more footage to make a full-length video. The normal Sunday truck is an ACX/Heil Freedom, which I have one lonely clip of.
Hey um next time when you come here could you please get more of a footage of the serving the city of garden grove trucks but ya these where really cool trucks

I wasn't focusing specifically on Garden Grove trucks, but I did see them in the yard and they do appear in this video. Keep getting videos of your trucks if you want to, nobody's really filmed in Garden Grove until you came along, with the exception of an older video from Sanitation 94.
