Response from GoldiBox: There are a few things we noticed and a few things Rick said several times that we agree with that would've made the experience better. The location was not ideal. When used in the right environment, the GoldiBox is an outstanding gold recovery system. Rick you nailed it every time you said this wasn't the best location for the GoldiBox. The GoldiBox was designed to be ultra portable and to be able to work BEDROCK and to get down into the crevices in hard to access and remote places. Whereever that bedrock may be. Rivers, creeks, benches, etc. And Bjorn is right, the Crack Attachment is for getting down into the cracks and crevices. It is used by snipers and bedrock workers. It was not designed to move feet of over burden, weeds or sand. Better documentation would have shown that the material (sand and weeds) is not ideal and will clog the system. We will make sure to add a section to the user guide covering this. If we would've worked the area your team did, we would have used our highbankers or sluices and not set up the dredge. There is no need to use the longer extensions in that shallow of water. It forces the nozzle higher out of the water which causes suction to drop. The section where the extension and the nozzle mate should be underwater so you don't suck in air. The extensions allow you to dredge deeper once the material is beyond the nozzle's reach, which is typically bedrock. And when the attachments are used underwater, they do not fall off. The suction holds them in place. This was by design as over time, material can accumulate in the joint and they can be difficult to remove. But as Rick mentioned, tape can optionally be used to make them fit tighter. We've done both. It is a user preference. We do want to point out that the GoldiBox didn't lose gold and it is capable of recovering very fine gold (as seen in the video) to coarse chunky gold (unfortunately, not in the area). We're glad you are happy with the suction nozzle and we appreciate the kudos. They deliver outstanding performance and value. Both the nozzles and the GoldiBoxes have been through many iterations and 100s of hours of testing. We do hope you have the opportunity to give the GoldiBox another go in a more suitable location. Thanks again for the review. We appreciate all the comments and suggestions. -The GoldiBox Team

I have the goldibox. I’ve been using it for years. Your evaluation shows that you haven’t used it enough to properly evaluate it. For instance your claim that there is a difference between river rock and a small creek is unfounded. There is no difference. Your hoses are to long causing a loss of pressure. You should also try to not have any of the equipment above the water table. Sometimes it does jam up but a small stick shoved up through the box takes care of the problem. Hope you have better luck.

Sounds like more problems than actually getting gold.
