Adventure Riding | NZ TwoUp Season 3 - Black Forest Station (Te Aka Road)

Episode 4 - Time to take on the first of the bucket list rides of this trip, turning at Dog Kennel Corner to head back south towards Black Forest Station, a high country road which we had confirmed access to ride. Fee paid & noting that the gate opener is needed on duty, we see the change in landscape as we climb up following the Powerlines through the saddle for our first glimpse of Lake Benmore.

Great vid. I’ve done this road in both directions in my old vintage car. It’s a steep climb up from the Benmore Dam end, but the views are amazing.

Another great ride! Thanks for sharing. Love the banter and that pipe sounds mint - is that the stock exhaust? Looking forward to part 2!

Thanks for watching. I’ve never really been one for loud pipes and this was on the bike when we brought it, I must say I do quite like it though. It’s an akropovich pipe but I think it’s off a 450 or 500 as its different to the one made for the 1090.
