Advancing with Watercolor: Color: Creating Luminosity "Jaune Brilliant"
Фильм және анимация
This is a video done as a supplement to a watercolor class taught by Gary Tucker in Boston. This video was made to demonstrate how an artist might work with color to create a more pronounced center of interest. To find a center of interest is perhaps the first step to organizing the content. I have used the motif of a flower shop on Rue Cler in Paris - added figures at my center of interest and used complimentary hues of yellow and violet in juxtaposition to create attraction and glow in the painting
This painting utilizes and underpainting of cad yellow and cad orange red . The darker washes are created by various mixtures of Burnt sienna and ultramarine blue. I hope this exercise is helpful in simplifying the process of composition with color - and illuminating as to how we generate glow through transparancy

One of the best KZread artist out there. Detailed instruction really helps
Amazing that what looked like frankly ridiculously dark uniform grey dried into areas of clearly different shaded colour. Brilliantly done.
Masters painting. Out of this world. Everyday life scenes turned to magic.
Thank you Mr. Tucker. I began painting acrylics about nine years ago. I have missed water colours which I had done since the mid 80’s. Your work is so full of light, and presence, and , love it.

Agreed! His work in light inspired me to start painting!
Gorgeous, this is what I like the most about water color art. It seems that you are looking upon a scenery that is embeded in your dream. Very mysterious..

I can learn much from you sir. The way you paint and narrate makes one feel what is truly achievable , and natually you make it look easy lol. Your style is loose and relaxed. You easily achieve pleasing and convincing luminosity . Exceedingly helpful information and presentation. Thank you kind man for sharing your secrets.
This is such a perfect demonstration how and why an artist chooses watercolor as apposed to oil or acrylic. Thank you for helping me

Great to hear - Thx for sharing
I only bought Jaune Brilliant because Chien Chung Wei has it in his pallet. Turns out I love using it and find that it makes some beautiful grays.
Thank you for another inspiring watercolour. I often wonder if you refer to your reference photo while painting. My guess is that you probably don't, and just paint the feeling you get in a scene.
Thank you so much for your demonstration of water 🌊💦 colour painting 🖌️🎨 directly from the location in the morning 🌅🌄 scene, I am from Ahmedabad Gujarat state India and I am very appreciate with your 🎁 🌊💦 water colour painting 🖌️🎨 within three 🕞🕒 four 🕓🍀 step 🪜 also in limited time, style wet in to wet method is used very quickly adopting a stroke with high 🕯️🚨 light the character and figure.light and shadows gives an extra values, I am very appreciate with your 🎁 guidance and support me in this way, and good command over water 🌊💦 colour, and mastering the strok very confidentially that is my favourite skills as you can do it well and good.
