You can add torches to saddles while they're both in your inventory. You can then equip it to your dino. Just found this out today!!! This is frodo from small tribes btw

Fun fact: The Spino share spawn with the fish, so run about killing with will give you food for days and make the Spinos spawn ;) Dinos with more than 50% full weight won't pick up items, only hide and meat.

humm, you should tell people how to collect tribute at the mid game maybe? if they realize by end game how to collect tributes they will have lost months of gathering tributes as they do their meat run and stuff lol, to me these are mid game tips. way far from end game like how to use whistle commands on diff boss, how to level boss dinos depending on wich boss youre doing sutff like that.. but collecting tributes as a end game tip?

@@psilovecybin5940 you're not throwing loot away if you're missing out on it because it is nowhere said in the game tips that when a dino is over 50% it doesn't pick up the tribute in his inventory, and most of the time the spino is in the river you wouldn't even see the bag on the ground.. was just saying this is not a end game tip

Item collecting IS related to weight. 50% or more full and it stops looting corpses. Also if your food bar is grey you need to poop or it will drain your food quickly

If your tranq darts or other darts are about to spoil then place them in your dinos inventory, unload your rifle and the dart that comes out is ALWAYS at full health then transfer your darts back from your dino then your entire stack of darts will be at full health. Do this as many times as you need so your darts will never spoil.

Another great video here James! Keep up the great work and I’m sure with your help that percentage of people completing the game will be going up. Another good tip would be turning on PVE mode as it nullifies the cryo sickness from cryo pods, the only con being you can’t kill unclaimed baby creatures during breeding.

This is by far the best channel for Ark content out there! Straight and to the point. Minimal messing around. Most youtubers playing Ark just talk nonsense during the entire video. On the trophy collection there is a setting for dinos called enemy collection which you need on to have the dino receive the trophies on kill

I knew there were clever uses for those aggro tools ;) Quick note, for those of us on official rates fertilized eggs for Kibble isn't very useful. It's like a 20 to 1 ratio unfertilized to fertilized. Still helps ofc, you get a surge of kibble every dozen hours or so.

Very useful video James! I don't know if I'll be using many of those tips until I'm a biiit farther along though ^^

Any time I think of a reason to use pheromone darts it turns out that particular creature isn't affected by them. When genesis came out and I was trying to steal my first magmasaur egg, I was fumbling around failing miserably trying to draw their agro without getting myself killed, then I realized I could just use pheromone darts to pull them all into one spot, only problem was magmasaurs aren't affected by pheromone darts

Also if you hatch baby megalaina they always have 2 toxin in their inventory so no need to search the caves to find them

Love the video.. found it helpful some things I didn't know about the items an certain ones I jus keep dropping like the spino fins anyways I was wondering how does most player's play ark... I mean as in like how do you stop screen from shaking especially when a bigger dino comes along.. I have been playing ark for about a year.. I haven't done really much in ark besides use creative mode an build a house with a little bit of farming an hunting... I was wondering how do you make it like similar to jurassic park whenever a trex comes along your screen doesn't shake.. I find it annoying... Not sure how many realise this but megalania toxin is one of the only tributes you can get from tamed dinos. Just tame a pair and let them breed.

At the 1:20 mark, where you say a small percentage have completed the game, do you mean The Island or all the other official maps as well?

You have to melee kill with your Dino for them to trophy loot, and they also won’t trophy loot if you’re at 50% or more Dino weight~

Guys let me give you some tips I’m gonna start with megalania toxin, what you want to do is going into the swamp cave on island or some other caves an you will get loads of that toxin. The legendary kibble can be used for every single Dino and is very easy to make, what you need is to go for wyvern eggs/ rock drake eggs/ magmasaur eggs and that’s it, you have the kibble (don’t use it for carnivores cause you have mutton) use it for herbivores especially trike/ stego/ racer. NEVER EVER BUILD ON THE BEACH! There are lots of good caves on every single map just search on KZread and watch a guide how to build it. If you are playing a moded server you can just go on Crystal Isles for artefacts and don’t waste a lot of time for farming them. That’s some tips that could make your life easier, have a nice day

Fun fact about the megalania: if you knock it out there will be 2 toxin in it's inventory. If you then let it wake up(their torpor drops rather fast) and knock it out again you get another 2 toxin. You can do this until you have all the toxin you want or end up killing it(although this can be prevented if you have a snow owl)

Love the content! Would you ever do a Prim+ play through? Would be really interested to see how your play style changes/adapts to it. (I'm also just playing on Prim+ and looking for help lol)

yer i havent played prim+ but I am interseted, so many ways to play ark ill never run out of ideas for content.

i usually just make a base in the secret lake on the island. if beavers spawn there free cementing paste. the only shitting thing is metal you have to go a bit far for

How do you have a wyvern with no mods on the island

Edit: I forgot you can't transfer trophies. A good tip for most of these trophies is to download Ragnarok. Megalania spawn in crazy amounts at the very edge of the volcano, Thylas are quite common and easy to find in the desert, and Spinos are incredibly common in the basin full of waterfalls. Ragnarok is entirely free to get too.

Can you do a video about the mods you use/ the most useful mods for ark? I just bought Ark on steam because I got sick of playing it on console without mods and the various problems that the mods fix. If people want to comment on this as well that would be great!

S+ is almost a must. A good spyglass mod. A op one would be awesome spyglass. Super spy glass is a mid range one. There is a mod called something like level up. Which you use to adjust level spawning chances so ever thing isn't always way low level. And if running higher level dino levels. Vitberry mod for healing hp. It is very configable so you can make it a rare chance to get. Or tone down the hp return. Also a stacking mod just find one that works for you there are tons. Other then that just explore different mods till you find something you like. There is tons of great ones

Fun Tip: Megalania babies drop the toxin. They are the only babies in the game that drop the trophy needed for the boss, so tame a bunch up and make a megalnia toxin farm.

Thanks too your first series. I'm level 105 now. With four caves in at the island. Progress is slow. But I do enjoy it a lot. Played nothing else since I started 3 months ago. Had too use admin codes in skylord cave to retrieve my inventory. That cave is broken. As you mentioned. So this artifact i have to cheat with. I really hope the rest i can finish solo and honest on ps4.

I watched the first few videos of your hard walk through..i'm playing single player not on hard but tweeked a bit to get better Dino's . I thought okay no problem, tame a trike and a Pteranodon and just whip up the mountain for some crysta--- No...Trikes killed the shit out of me or kept drowning lol, then when i finally flew from Herbie Island, my shit low level bird kept needing breaks!! :S (why you don't bother with low levels i see) and then when i got to the top i tried to carry to much crystal, sabertooth X 3 ran up and killed us :S Anyways haha still plugging away and got my crystal and spyglass thanks to my level 70 Pteranodon. Great videos....i just expected it to be easier !!! i imagine you died alot when you first started haha

You never said why you use fertilized eggs for kibble. I am assuming you get more than one kibble per egg instead of 1 egg equaling 1 kibble. But thanks for the video good content as always. And currently I have many dinos sitting around making eggs 😂 so I will definitely use this last trick!

@@knappieboy Late but no in mobile using fertilized egg is better then none fertilized egg in some situation I would assume some part of it carry to the other versions but then mobile is just special our kibbles are different.

⭐I don't even know how you're supposed to switch servers... What you can bring with you or how to retrieve your loot... I've made a few attempts but they usually just make me spawn in the middle of nowhere with nothing... Also, could you just eat a flower and use a flyer to lure Gigas into the lava..?

well some are harder that others to get so I may have saved you a little time 😁 the alpha tropies for the last fight i find are much easyier to find through out the game but the 3 i mention hear are the 1s i find tricky to find.

Normal ppl: ill tame a trik and a rapter then tame others and move up as I go. Me: bloodstalker, magmasaur egg, mosasaurus, yuteranus then maybe giga if im bored 😆

If you are on the island, work on those mid level caves, breed up some good basilosaurus' and rex's for late game, and work your way to level 100. There are two spots on the island you can get good frequent xp. Be sure to grab an explorer note or two on your way to them so olyou can get 2x xp or more while you are farming one of these areas. One is Carno island in the northeast corner, and the other is on the western coastal line right where the snow biome and the beach meet. One of the ark youtubers had dubbed it "The Moshpit" and they are both great areas to farm xp.

Fun fact: shoot thylas off the trees in redwood and then devour them..idk why I keep seeing ppl fly up to them lmfao

Anyone who takes the time to read this I will offer you an advanced tip that you are free to share. The snails can not only make about 100 cementing paste an hour but it also produces 1 organic poly an hour but also increases the spoil timer on the organic poly. Aka snails can be used as organic poly fridges. Keep surviving survivors ;)

Late but they said "nanny mod" which means the item from the s+ mod called a nanny and what it does is auto feeds and imprints baby dinos. They also said "if" not that they were using it

I disagree with the kibble tip You could only breed dinosaurs one time A-day So that's only 1 egg a day you need to be stealing wivern eggs and using those for kibble And having a bunch of females in one male helps out a lot

really padding out the fucking run time on this one, thanks for telling us to use fertilized eggs for 8 minutes

IMO this is more like advanced tips for people who don't know the basics.

The pheromone dart is a engram but just overlooked by many people is what i said, so i uderstand now 😁 erm no its not a mod and is unlocked at lev 90

That 5% of people could have also Went into god mode and defeated it cuz u still get the trophy

kibble is pointless since dinos now tame with different foods now

Kibble is useful of people maxing out dino levels outside of ARK Mobile. Each level you can get when taming is free skill points into attributes. The number of bonus levels for kibble over Mutton or preferred food is very high. Kibble also doesn't spoil for a very long time compared with prime meats, Mutton or honey. In vanilla, you have a limited max level. Depending on server settings you have limited number of levels you can earn for a tamed dinosaur. So you can end up with useless tames that cannot fight, flee or harvest well. The only way to get as close to max is to tame with the best food, breed for mutations to slightly bump up a stat and the levels and then to grind XP. To grind XP keep dinos in cryopods inside cryofridges. Killing babies nearby while under the Lystro buff is fast XP. Having dinos in cryopods in the player inventory while sleeping in a Tek sleeping pod earns earns you points too. Remember that any dinosaur with a harvesting bonus gets XP from performing that harvesting task. Stone for Dodicerous. Wood for Mammoths and Beavers. Fiber for Therizinos. So save your base building until you breed good harvest dinos. Then grind out your resources and your levels at once.

The reason hardly anyone has done the tek cave is because official servers are cancer, alpha tribes have a monopoly on every aspect of each map you get to a certain size or material of your base and you get stamped out when your offline.
