Advanced Tips for Oral Presentation

In this video, Nick Friedman, a Tutor in Law and the Graduate Mooting Co-ordinator at the University of Oxford, gives 7 tips that will turn you from a good mooter into a great mooter, including listening and responding concisely to judges and preparing the story to take the judges through the different components of your argument.
We would also like to thank INTERNEWS for their generous support that has made this video possible.

    1. You do not need to read a written speech word by word. ●Make your answers clear. ● Instead of word by word written speech, have a clear mind-map drawn. 2. Use Quotes. 3. Keep a continuous flow of speech. ● use linking phrases. 4. Understand what questions are relevant to the topic. Create questions & know their answers beforehand. 5. Answer irrelevant questions patiently and wisely. 6. For time management, do addition & subtraction of points in accordance with their importance. ● no one knows whether you have completed your written speech or not - be easy. 7. Link your arguments with other party's.

The 7 tips given by Nick Friedman is also very usefully relevant to oral presentations to be delivered by language education researchers, including Masters and PhD students, or those preparing to deliver a paper to an audience at a conference.

Winner of a video, been searching for "what is stuttering modification therapy?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Deyarper Especial Dominance - (do a google search ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to get rid of your stuttering once and for all without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my neighbour got great success with it.

This is great. But in our Moot competitions we are also judged on the Flow or following the pattern of arguments set in our memorials. Judges usually try and throw us off so that they can check how we come back to our arguments. In that case would you suggest answering the judge's questing instantly or answer with something which gets us back to our current argument and then when we come to the argument that the judge asked about and answering then.
