Advanced Shortcuts You NEED: Competitive Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online! This video will go over every important shortcut you need to know when playing online in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!
It's important to mention that a lot of the tracks in this game are very uncommon, and some of the shortcuts are super easy, so if you notice a shortcut isn't in this video that you're familiar with, it's probably because it's either too easy or on a rather uncommon track. Regardless, I have a ton of shortcut videos on my channel, so if you're interested, check em' out!

Just keep on givin' er and the double cut will be free!
Great video! Something you forgot to mention though is that in the dHC shortcut (6:07) you should neutral hop. This is pretty important because back when I was starting to learn this shortcut I would almost never perform it correctly because I would always move the stick while in the air. I wasn't able to perform the shortcut consistently until someone tought me how to neutral hop. This helped me A LOT since neutral hopping works for pretty much every single NISC! (in case someone didn't know, NISC stands for No Item Short Cut) Once again, GREAT background music choice! SMG's OST is amazing!

Honestly, I need to mention neutral hop more often haha. It's definitely important to know in case you don't know what kind of hop that is right off the bat! I really appreciate your support!
Another great video man. I have learned more from you in the last week than I have since I started MK8. Well done.
Another great video JP. And I love your commentary. Lots on energy and that gets me excited. Keep on giviner bud lol

I'm so happy to hear!
Thanks for finally putting these together into one video! One thing to note on the dHC NISC though: It's definitely easier if you don't instantly repress the drift button after releasing your mini-turbo and instead wait a bit. You'll get more air. I've found that this also makes the SGF and dMC NISCs easier.

100%! That's especially useful on the dMC NISC!

I thought that only applied to low gliders! I wonder if that's been making all these NISCs harder for me than they should be (as well as a tendency to always hop too late). @JPGiviner have you tried the L1 dYC time trial WR route NISC on the grass after exiting the tunnel (following the double hop alignment)? I know it's not relevant for online but that new route is really killing my TT efforts all the time!
great video! thanks a ton😎
You make quality content
