Irene Cangi is an Italian Teacher from the region of Umbria, Italy.
Since she was 12 years old, languages have always been her passion. She has a background (and a degree) as a translator. The world of translation has instilled in her that perfectionism is typical of those who study languages. When she speaks in English and French, she always has the desire to express herself exactly as a native speaker would.
She has worked for more than 16 years as a tour guide, just to use foreign languages every day. This experience has taught her that you can't always be perfect when speaking a foreign language. Sometimes you just have to try to communicate and accept imperfection.
But... you can always be hungry for new words to express yourself better!
In short, she knows what it feels like when people tell her, "Wow, you speak Italian very well!" And she knows that for her, it's the best compliment in the world!
In 2020, she started teaching Italian online, and her experience immediately made her realize that she wanted to be a teacher for advanced students, those stuck at a good level.
So, she created the Italian school that she would like to attend if she were an Italian student with a good level. And she continues to update it with new courses.
She is an Italian teacher with a DITALS qualification.
