Awesome video! I haven't used my Cricut like I should because I didn't understand what all the different buttons were for! You've got me motivated to use it more now that I understand what some of the buttons mean! Thanks for sharing!

Wow! This is awesome! I cannot tell you how many hours and how much paper I cut last night trying to learn the circuit!! I should have watched this video first! LOL! My brother used it for a project and understood it immediately for me I was so confused! Plus the paper wouldn't stick. Oh what an adventure...back to it today! Now though I feel like I'm better equipped thanks to your video! Cheers!

If I understand your question, I will try to explain it again in an example. You put a picture on your mat that you want to cut in a circle. Then you press centerpoint and move your blade with the navigation buttons to the center of the picture. Then you select a circle from a cartridge and size it how big you want it. Then you just press cut and the circle will cut out and where you had the blade to start with will be the center. This is used so you don't off center the person in picture.

@1jmass It usually measures the height of the card when folded or not, it depends on how the image is laying in the book. I explain this more on an older video cricut tips. Hope this helps. Tammy

I always use the portrait mode, you do not have to put the paper in the bottom corner. You can place it at the top on the left.

I just found this video. It’s great and very useful. However, on the mix and match function, other than mentioning you were going to cut out a red ‘e’, the video did not show when or how you chose and/or cut the red ‘e’ out, only the white letters. I blinked and thought I missed something but it’s not there except the final result when you show all of the letters cut out on the mat. I wanted to watch you program the differences and watch how the machine differentiated. Is there a different video to see this function once again or could you explain it. Thanks for the great videos though. Your voice is very concise and clear.

Another true a-ha moment. So on fit to length it adjusts the sizes of the scallops in order to cut exactly 5 to fit the length you choose?

On fit to page with the card, does it measure what size the card will be when it is folded?

For center point does that mean it takes the center point of the mat, or the paper? Sorry for the dumb question!

I am beginning to really hate the Cricut Expression. It is so cranky! It keeps tearing the paper I have bought new blades I have slowed it down, changed the pressure and nothing helps! I am cutting card stock. Is that my problem? I would have thought it would cut medium weight card stock though.

Can someone help. When I choose the card option when cutting where is it going to begin cutting? I hate to keep wasting paper....

I hate how you have to "research" how to use this machine!! I first had a 6" Cricut, then went to the 12", then scrapped it and bought a Silhouette and it's SO much easier. You don't have to guess what it's going to do. Nor do you have to buy expensive cartridges. I used this video as a refresher course for myself because I'm going to be teaching someone how to use the functions of it - you did a great job with the video....but again, the machine is TOO HARD TO FIGURE OUT! Crafting should be fun, not frustrating!

I am with Sandra Argo! I am truely beginning to hate my Cricut Expression with a passion. I have changed the blade and I use good card stock. And every time it tears the paper. Can someone please tell me why? What am I doing wrong? I use the cricut craft room and connect to my expression. Which every time I have to update firmware. When that is finally done. I proceed to cut. It will cut good the all of a sudden it tears the paper. Please help, getting really frustrated!!
