4:23 As an additional note, if you dont want a big ass water barrel inside your base, water purifiers are slept on, they go ontop of a camp fire, so they take up no additional room, and they can hold water for you, great to have next to your food storage

One tip for newbies. Put some garage door on top of base into some honeycomb and connect it to door controler, memeory cell, timer and other stuff. What you will create is a random timer that opens or closes this specific garage door. So you asking, why is this good for anyway? Well if you get offline for the day and it doors keep closing and opening randomy, the offline raiders will not risk attacking your base. Chads that go for online raids are freaking rare.

Solid tip, use the survival fish trap. I made a 2x2 that can hold a single fish trap, an electric garden, a horse, an oil refinery, a rowboat. Facility style bases are the new meta, especially if you can incorporate at least one bunker. People must remember that rust is a survival game and that having the longest "alive for" time is what marks you as a winner. Unless it's in base (starvation or dehydration) then most deaths cost the player either loot or their base entirely. Gone are the days of needlessly risking your Life and goods.

im pretty sure you can fill your lockers with more than 1 kit with just 1 conveyer no? just put another adapter. they work like 3 independent boxes

With the addition of seismic sensors. Now I get false alarms everytime my Sam Sites go off even with them placed on my external high stone walls.

It sucks the loot out your drop boxes so it doesnt sit in them and then connects to the line of splitters to get sorted and holds extra items

Buffer boxes work as a shared inventory that is 'visible' to all your Conveyers, through a series of splitters normally, so that the Conveyers can grab their items from one inventory before it's sorted. For example, I like to run a farm drop box outside my base, so when I'm on ore tea I can get to it, drop in the box and split. I don't want anybody to get at those so I run two Conveyers to a buffer box inside my base (ideally deep) from that box single Conveyers can process through large stacks of stone/ore etc. Inside your base you can use the buffer box as a drop box, or a dump chest for all your items to get sorted away. With a lot of systems every chest becomes a drop box, so you can come back, drop, go to your med/ammo chest and get back out there.

To be fair, until this force wipe auto sorting systems that wouldn’t need to be constantly updated couldn’t really happen due to 1. Conveyors being limited to 12 slots and 2. How annoying it was to input items. The newest changes make it significantly easier and more efficient to create automation without hassle, so a lot more videos will probably pop up

It's just statistics and depends where you set up your base, i am newbie, and first few trial werent that easy, but in current base no one raid me for at least 4 days, so i've managed to have some electrics

I suppose this is worth it if you play rust 8 hours a day
