Lana songs are special. I think that they're OK on a technical level and has very good vibe into them. I can't understand his point, except for the repetitiveness. That's an objectively valid objection, which even Lana's fans admit. I think it's probably hyper-rationalization. You know, some people just base their music taste on technique, and if you not sing live all the time, making a mezzo soprano vibrato for every syllable and had virtuosi like Joe Satriani and Mike Angelo Batio in your band you're simply nothing for them. Sad but true.
