This is a west coast production 😉 Course it’s slanted. I love hip hop from both but you can’t touch east coast. Rakim. Nas. Wu. Big. Treach. Prodigy. No coast touches east coast.

Doesn’t matter whether you’re East Coast vs West Coast but what should be clear is hip hop back in the day is SOOOO much better than the majority of what comes out now

For me growing up in the 90s, I didn't know West and East Coast. I just knew it was Rap. It's all Rap to me.

Y’all did east coast DIRTYYYYYY so many classics that they would’ve known and could’ve easily been better

When my son was a baby, the only music he would listen to was Matallica, and other heavy metal bands. At times when I would turn it off, he would cry. He hated nursery rhyme songs😂😂. He’s 7 now, and still to this day he loves that kind of music. 😅

The picks for each "duel" made sure of the result. Just an example, had it been Big Poppa vs. California Love, the result would have been more mixed. Or, had it been Run DMC's It's Tricky vs. U Can't touch this, the vote would have been more even. Also... does Florida count as "East Coast"? If so, 2 Live Crew would certainly have been a great contender, especially in the categories "Bass" or "Hilariously Offensive". What about DC? DJ Kool's Let me clear my Throat is legendary.

Whether you prefer east or west coast I’m just glad the music back in the day is being revisited. A lot of great Hip Hop music is being dismissed just because it’s not current or because it’s OLD. No one’s going to like every artist or song but just expose yourself to it man. Know your history.
