For those who are confused as to what they did, in little league, everybody on your team has to be part of the same "park" league meaning from the same city. This team brought in kids from other cities allowing for more talent. Which is against the rules.

Bro y’all realize they were stripped for posting posters outside there boundaries like when high school’s recruit other players from jus around dam near the whole city to get the best.. That being said...really think about it that team was for the whole state of Chicago right. Then what does that matter at that point in time I’m from Chicago the only rounds that would of mattered in is the rounds they did in Chicago but that team has won every year for 40 years they would of won anyway

I am white. 3 years ago my neighbor repainting baltimore city jail approached me with this scrapping job to cut up and haul off of appliances in the kitchen after a flood filled the kitchen with sewage. It was a chance to make $80,000. I said sure give my name to the head of the job at the site. He did and I got a call from the head of the demolition job( part of the prison system). He told me I could start the next week. I said sure and faxed over all my paperwork to start. Two days later I get A phone call back saying that they cannot hire me because I am not a minority contractor. So I lost an $80,000 job that would have payed off my debt because Im not black. I have experienced this 6 more times bidding on local and state government jobs and each time I lose the job as soon as they find out that Im not a minority.

Yes because everything is about race. Let's go straight to race instead of the irresponsibility unethical and immoral actions of adults. Do you know when the race is constantly thrown out as an excuse, it starts to become taken seriously less and less. I'm at the point myself that brings up race, I automatically start to discount anything that's being said.

The trainers will tell you all the rules and regulations because they don't want you to do any kind of dumb stuff. So they also knew that if its a district based team that they'll need the kids from that district. If you're outsourcing the kids ....that's cheating. Why? Because if that kid were to get selected he would've played against them but he's playing for them. Now do that with alot of places and you now have the finest kids from multiple districts rather than your own. Basically you outsourced the talent....that's cheating . ..... take it like this actually this will be more easier to understand. You have an American team and to make your team overpowered you bring in the best players from all around the world whether if they're American or not because they're not Americans. They would've played for their own respective countries against American team That's cheating

This is exactly the problem I have with kids' sports. Often the adults involved take things way too seriously. It should be about teaching the children important lessons (like teamwork, friendly competition, how to win/ lose gracefully, etc.) while they have fun. Unfortunately, so many of these adults try to live vicariously through these children. They end up ruining the entire experience for the children. I have seen kids go from loving and enjoying a sport to absolutely hating it because of all the pressure being put onto them by adults. SMH

@@torreywilliams6154 I completely agree, but a lot of what they are trying to claim is that they think they got a harsher punishment than an all-Caucasian team would have received for doing the exact same thing. Now, granted, I don't know if that's true or not (I don't pay enough attention to youth sports specifically to have anything to compare it to in order to determine whether or not certain punishments really are harsher than others).

The question is - how many other little league teams are doing this? If only a few, then yes, they are guilty. If most teams are doing this, then they are unjustly punished. That's my take. So once again, the press did a half baked story. Discrimination is when many are doing the same thing, but only one gets punished.

The kids weren't as culpable as the adults involved, but lets not pretend that they were ignorant of the situation. When every kid on the team is from a different town but it's only your team and you're 100 times better than the competition? You'd have to be a complete and utter idiot not to notice something.

There was a team from New York whose coach lied about one kid's age, and they dominated. I saw them play, and they had obviously been coached to cheat on the field.... one kid went from first to third, running near second but not touching so as to not break his stride. There were other examples as well.

As a little league coach for 10 years I can say this. 100%, not 99%, 100% of every problem I ever had was from the adults. Now as young as 5 years old we have parents wanting that competitive edge for that trophy, championship and yes a college scholarship starting at age 5 and it gets worse every year the child ages. Think I'm kidding? Coach a little league team.

  • @CCCC-cb2ty

They were an incredible feel good story. No doubt about it. I love seeing young black men playing baseball. So many good young black men choose hoops over baseball - and hoops is soooo tough for anyone to succeed. Black, white, asian, whatever - doesn't matter. If you cheat (and you cheat your kids by faking addresses!), you don't deserve to win. It's little league! You can't recruit outside your league's boundaries for a reason. It's not fair. Some leagues are so big, they have split their leagues so they are stuck having 2 (watered down) all-star teams... thus, never having a shot to make it to the LLWS. When parents do this crap, they screw their own kids as well as the other leagues and teams. THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO ABOUT RACE. If you think it was - you're begging for an excuse.
