That being said, I just found your channel today, as well as also getting this book today, too! I am in love. It is a very beautiful book, and I am absolutely excited to use my Prismas on it, now that I have a much better understanding of colored pencils. The techniques you used, such as applying ink with a sponge brush and then spraying the ink to create that unique effect, were amazing! I'm also an artist who loves using different mediums, and I made sure to take notes! Consider me a new subscriber, Miss Karen! It's a great pleasure to watch your videos and color along with them!

Nice idea to use the same color palette throughout the book. It will give the book a better cohesiveness. I also like the idea of starting with darker colors first and blending progressively lighter colors.

I love how you did this book with 4 colors. It’s beautiful. I now know that I have paid way too much attention to the small pieces and not the whole picture. The koi fish was what did it. Only 3 similar colors to use! It’s helped not have a page that’s overwhelming with colors. I love your inspiration for me to use black and raspberry black (I think) to get those dark areas dark. I love it. It’s line your not afraid of it like I am. I got this book, inspired by you. I won’t use the same colors but the same process. But now I’m looking at blank pages and freaking out on where to start? I think you said find the focal point and start there. I also love love love that you talk during your videos. So many others just play music, but you tell us what you’re thinking, and why you’re doing what you’re doing. It’s so appreciated. I am to be as good as you someday!! 😊

I am really late to the Hannah lynn books,have always felt intimidated by them, however, i really want magical Dawn,lol so i am going to try to follow your tutorials on this book, i have some of the colors that u have, dont have clay rose,and nothing in the greens,i just buy open stock at Michael's when i can, what would you recommend in place of clay rose,and what color of greens could i use in place of what u are using? I really like how this page turned out. It's super pretty and love that the whole book has a color theme. I'm not sure if you've ever tried to use a brush to clean up the pencil shave? I find when I've done it with my hand sometimes they get stuck on the page or smudge it. I like using a brush since it gets it off with less of a mess for me.

Thank you, Oxide are opaque in there laydown, so they will cover the pencil and more of the black lines in color books, Distress inks are transparent and let those lines show and are better at resisting the wax in the pencils... you can use them, just be mindful of the placement of the ink.

Thank you, nails are done with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails called Bare it all 169 with a coat of L.A. Colors Color Craze 542 (color craze is a sparkle polish in pinkish tones)

Polish: Sally Hansen Insta-dry 203 Buff and Tumble, with a coat of La Color 542 color craze sparkle polish on top

Hi, can I ask for the color names of the distressed inks you use in this book. Also the color of the sticklers you used. Do you use a dryer or let it dry on its own? What brand of paint do you use on the dots and Matt black back ground. I’m trying to follow along and just want to have the supplies.

Distress ink would be, victorian velvet, broken chine, and dusty concord. Stickles would be Diamond, silver, and gold and I let them dry on their own. Acrylic paint brand it FolkArt, but any matte acrylic would work. 😊

Can you and do you mix wax and oil based penciles in an area ? What benifits and/or draw backs would it have ?

You could, I would test the pencils you want to use on a test page in the back of the book, to see how they react to each other and the paper before using on the page you want to color. Hint use the oil pencil first then the wax based one, oil pencils are harder and will scratch into the wax pencils possibly lifting the pigment off the page.

Deep reds for flowers, greens for leaves, blue for clothes and smoke, purple because it looks good with said colors giving me a fourth color... all pleasing to the eye

Do you use a seperate sponge for each colour distress ink?

Sometimes, the sponge can be washed and used in other colors - make sure they are really dry before using them. I have many little sponges but I do not wash them, and keep them to use in color families (one for blues, one for pinks, one for purples ... etc.)
