Do you think this panel would support 2 ev chargers per house?

So I went to see a job that they want the same thing, but the existing panel is huge and it’s full and the new 2 meters don’t have enough spaces to re connect the existing power for the house… what do I have to do now?

Hi, without seeing your setup there are a couple of things you could do. One, would be to add a sub panel or two replace the existing panel with a larger one. Almost all our jobs require us to replace the existing panel and add an additional sub panel to the home and a new panel for the ADU. Let me know if you have any other questions.

It often does not take more the 3 to 4 weeks to get approved.

What is the panel brand and model number? Thanks

does that two meter panel have a braker compartment already in it?

Hi, yes there are breakers in this panel however, this is the main so there are two more subpanels with the rest of the breakers for the home.

Did they both share 200-amp does the a.d. you have two hundred amps?

The ADU has a 100 amp panel of its own.

What size of wire you using for the exact panel? Thanks

It all depends on what the wire is used for. 15 amp switches we use 14 gauge wire, 20 amp switches we use 12 gauge wire. but again that is dependent on the length of the run. We typically run 12 gauge wire on all outlets so if we need to upgrade our amps from 15 to 20 its no problem. Hope that answered your questions. My meters are switched, my se ond floor is connected to first floor meter. Does an ele teician fix that or the power company.

I would reach out to the power company first, that will save you some money if they will do the work, otherwise you would have to higher someone and that would end up costing a little, maybe more than a little.

@DREC Construction Services Inc yeah I think when I had an Amp upgrade 10 yrs ago the electrician switched it and I didn't realize until I put in a split unit recently on first floor and second floor bill skyrocketed.
