Good morning, Thank you very much for uploading this educational videos. That is very appreciated. I have a ps4 slim that will not recognize my controller in either of the front usb ports. I used a USB tester, and and I an getting 5V, but th wired controller that I use does not go into charging mode like it usually does on a normal ps4. I tried swapping the BT module but that did not fix the issue instead the ps4 would not turn on. Maybe I applied to much heat to the donor chip and I end up runing it. Could it be that maybe the USB CHIP that control the USB ports went bad and it needs to be replace? If that is the case what is the name of that chip? Thank you!

What is the zener diode reference you changed?

What's the part number for mp6922l and mp6922 on Mouser or DigiKey? As far as I'm aware it's an IC chip labeled on the board as IC101.

Hi, from which places can I get 12 volt on a PS4 Slim ? I removed the internal hard disk, I put a sata extension and the 12 volt is missing for the 3.5 disk of 4TB WD40EZRZ, this disk get 5v 0.6 A and 12v 0.45A, the original Toshiba 2.5 of 1TB says 5v 1A, thanks

I opened the power supply and 12v is the main output voltage, I did not know, I soldered a wire to the output of the supply and the 4 TB WD40EZRZ SATA disk was working :-) (These from sony! All to save a thick 12v track on the SATA output)

What could the potential problem be in my case I am working with the same psu ADP 160er, system turns on loads up just fine until around the 5 minute mark. Then beeps twice simultaneously and system shutdowns? (No warning signs whatsoever)This happened multiple times, remind you the councle I'm working with is clean and quiet, I've checked the psu and cannot fine anything out of the regular? Please Help! Hey hows it going today i tried to fix an ADP-200ER (for the 1200 series ps4) which has no power the ps4 beeps once the 12V does not kick in, i opened up the power supply and there was alot of dust in it .I cleaned it and checked all the power IC and transistors for shorts i could not find anything short the big fusible resistor was also good . Do u know what could be bad that prevents the 12V from kicking in ?

Possibly bad mosfets. Check in diode mode. Possibly faulty pmic. Possibly small caps blown. Look under scope

thanks for your reply . which pmic are you referring to ? DAP041 ?The funny thing is i just tried it and its started to work . i guess we can call it an intermittent power supply . I'll take a look under the microscope to see if anything is burnt .
