Adorable Family of Bears Keep Swimming in Southern California Pool

CNN's Jeanne Moos has the sensational story behind the viral video of a family of bears holding a pool party. The adorable mama bear and her two cubs near Los Angeles love playing with the pool toys and come back three to five times a week. Sara and Matt discuss what they would do if they had similar guests.

This is the first time I have seen homeowners who love and welcome the bears at their home, love people like them who know how to co- exist with wildlife and don't comolain. In my opinion, those homes in the foothills should of never have been allowed to be built in the first place, thats bear country.. Love the pool bear float, really cute, first time seeing a bear float too.. Great story ❤

I think I would be talking to some wildlife biologists about my options. How dangerous is this for them? How dangerous is it for the bears? What could we do to make it safer and avoid negative downstream consequences? I think we need to be thinking hard about safe ways to share our habitat with wild animals because, guess what, there’s very little left for them other than the habitat we are occupying.

@@MG-vo7pzbears do not come into a neighborhood simply for a dip in a pool. There is undoubtedly a history of unlocked dumpsters and food for them to scrounge. Sadly, it will probably be a bear that will lose its life because of the situation.

Not good for mom and babies to get used to. Someone not so understanding could shoot them elsewhere. Other properties with pets and kids would be extremely dangerous. Please call your local wild life center/reserve if this ever happens at your home. Hard to believe this wasn’t mentioned by the news company.
