Adoption: The Making of Me / S3 Ep. 3: Danielle
Season Three the pair review and discuss three adoptee memoirs: THE MISTRESS'S DAUGHTER by A.M. Homes, WHO AM I REALLY, AN ADOPTEE MEMOIR by Damon Davis and THE GUILD OF THE INFANT SAVIOUR: AN ADOPTED CHILD'S MEMORY BOOK by Megan Culhane Galbraith.
These will be intimate conversations, but also fun - because Sarah and Louise know how to lighten things up and have a good time. They also have an uncanny ability to get to the heart of a subject with anyone that crosses their path - so conversations will take many turns.
In this episode, Sarah and Louise continue their Season Three with a discussion of their first adoptee memoir in a three-part series. They discuss "The Mistress's Daughter" by A.M. Homes. Then they speak with Danielle Gaudette.
Danielle’s vision is a healthier, happier, and more peaceful world starting from within. Bringing over two decades as a senior instructor, healer, and trainer, she's currently Regional Director of WA state's Body & Brain Yoga Center. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was adopted at 10 days old, growing up with her adopted parents, later reconnecting at 21 years old with her biological mother actress Kate Mulgrew from the hit series TV sitcom Orange is the New Black and Star Trek Voyager. As a highly sensitive person from a young age along with a deep concern for the state of our planet--these two qualities propelled her on a long journey in search for inner peace. Danielle's passion is helping people awaken their bodies and minds to meet their true nature, specializing in emotional management, brain management, aligning the mind, body, heart, and soul.

Danielle's story is amazing. She definitely has Kate Mulgrew's smile! The podcast is great and I'm glad that adoptees can connect with one another through this podcast.
Wow. Amazing, interesting video about Danielle and her story. It’s like she’s talking about my childhood as an adoptee. So many similarities. I was adopted as well and had a connection with Kate myself about this adoption thing more than 10 years ago. Long story and very private to me. Thanks for uploading this video. Maybe I should try to reach out to Danielle.
Can definitely see Kate's megawatt smile in Danielle! Great video; thanks for posting!

Great podcast episode
I was adopted and raised by my grandparents. I wouldn't trade that for anything as I was raised very well but this is great story with a happy ending :)

This was soooo amazing and interesting to watch. I am not adopted so don't have a frame of reference, but the sharing has been so insightful and I am enlightened about your experiences. Thank you from Vancouver, Canada.
