Stevenson's left hand is a thing of beauty, when he times it correctly. I think his left is more deadly than kovalev's right, however Ward's the most skilled 175 pounder on the planet.

Is there no HBO verison of the fight out here?

I think Stevenson showed "Bad" Chad Dawson that he (Dawson) wasn't so bad.. As for his celebration, the man showed his unabashed, true joy, for getting the victory; While others hold back their emotions because they are too busy thinking about how they look, and what others will think of them.

Chad Dawson is from my home town. To my knowledge I never attended high school with a Dawson, so maybe his grandfather went to Hillhouse, a school that was almost entirely minorities.

He’s about to have his 10nth title defense impressive in today’s standards

He's running around like an excited puppy who has been reunited with his family.

At one point Stevenson had the best left hand in boxing. Shame he never got that big defining fight against ward or Kovalev before he got to old and then we saw what happened against Gvodzyk but the signs were there in the Jack fight that age had got to him

This guy, Adonis, is not a site to look at.

i'd much rather see kovelev fight him over ward; 2 agressive power-punchers going at it makes for a much more entertaining fight...i'm sure ward will just outclass kovelev with his technical skill, not very exciting to watch

Do you know what? I give this Adonis Stevenson a lot of credit where it's due! Did time in prison has recieved a lot of shit from a lot of boxers from light heavyweight and cruiserweight alike and still puts them all down doesn't bad or trash talk anyone and keeps to his game a real old skool fighter and good on him! So glad he demolished trash talker Tony Bellew and Bellew was cruiserweight too when he lost to a light heavyweight.

chad dawson got up too fast. the fight was over anyway even if he had stayed down longer. and andre ward was looking scared after the fight. he went on and retired after moving up to light heavywt due to the fact he didnt want to face adonis because he feared the power adonis had.

Adonis Stevenson beats Sergey Kovalev by TKO in a very competitive fight in my opinion. Adonis Stevenson beats Bernard Hopkins by TKO in my opinion.

Good old Bernard Hopkins baffles me every time he fights. He took some serious punishment off Sergey Kovalev but refused to submit and fought to the end which is astonishing.

Stevenson is not afraid of Kovalev. If you are a boxer you can't afford to be afraid. What Stevenson wants is money coz he is 35 years old. As for the winning dance at the end of the fight ? Its pretty clear what happened here. A super middleweight got lucky and won the lineal title of a weight class he has no business being in. He went from 0 to 5 titles in minutes. Now he doesnt want to risk letting go of them so he avoids the biggest threat: Kovalev.

The ref gave the guy ample time to recover. After the guy hit the canvas, and the ref directed Adonis to his corner, he should have been counting immediately afterward. He waited! I don't like boxing for this reason. He basically gave him a 20 count.
