Side note, many of the new “Generative” features will only be free until 1 November 2023, at which point they will cost credits to use. Different Creative Clouds subscriptions will have different amounts of monthly credits included that can be used. @@ekot0419 A professional designer's ability to score projects is just as much about sales techniques and communication, as it is about great design. A seasoned designer should have more of everything, so if a client still opts for the younger, likely more inexperienced designer, then they're probably not a good fit anyway.

I wonder what your thoughts are on Wacom touch tablet and intuos pro pen along with illustrator?

Retype is something I have to do a lot and is very time consuming. A very welcome feature! The PDF link is nice, because I have to send vector images to people who don't have Illustrator. So, that's a slight time saver.

desperately need the smooth slider!

Can anyone help please. Since updated to the latest version some files when opening I am prompted with a message 'Illustrator could not read the link, click to replace image' after I re-select the same image (never moved from original folder) it wont allow me. If I press 'ignore' another message appears 'cant finish previewing, could not complete request' then everything appears in outline mode. Relinking image once opened doesn't work either and I even re-saved the image as a new file/name and it still wont work. Never had this issue before the update. @Dansky can you or anyone help solve this please?

I'm using Ai 28.0, and for some reason, if I copy artwork from one layer and attempt to paste it to another layer, it creates a new layer and won't paste in my selected layer. Is this a bug with the new version?

I try to use it but it show internet connection problem . I even turn off farewall but it show that problem . can you please help me to fix it thanks and also have problem in neon that goes to white when blured . Beside this your videos are so help full thanks .

OMGGGG, you can generate vector artwork with AI, wow, I guess if Photoshop is doing it it will follow through to the other Adobe apps. I think it's really coooool that you will no longer need other websites to identify fonts in an image. The Adobe apps are becoming really self-sufficient.

Are you saying outline mode? or outland?

The update is available to everyone now in the latest main version of Illustrator! Some of the new features are Beta features, but you don't need the Beta app to try them out.

I hate the fact that Adobe keeps pushing users for subscription plans and force them to pay additional fees for something supposed to be included in the subscription. I use Astute Graphics plugins which are really amazing and give more flexibility compared with Illustrator tools. I said it before and typed it many times in comments that AI will kill graphic designers potential and creativity to create artworks without "external" intervention and help like AI.

My beta version doesn't show the text to vector graphic option. Very disappointed cuz I need it right now. Tried firefly to create a skeleton dabbing, but Adobe doesn't seem to know what dabbing is. My grandson could give them a lesson or two!

Hey Debbie, this feature is in the main version of Illustrator (v28.0), and not the beta version 🙂 I had to restart my computer and check for updates on the Creative Cloud app for the latest updates to start downloading!

Bit naughty the whole paying for credits to generate, where is it even getting the data from and if it's fine for people to just make vectors out of anything then it's going to take over a lot of the market potentially as non creatives don't really understand process so they can just keep topping up credits to generate, but it's also useful for saving time. Imagine just generating an icon bank for a new brand in seconds... It's scary stuff.

It's showing network problem but my network is all good.

Align tool in 2024 seems not working properly or uncontraollable. if you align them in center they just go crazy and went to the left

Graphic design, logo design, brand design, packaging design, merchandise design, presenting designs etc - I think professionals will find the ability to quickly mock-up their designs directly inside of Illustrator incredibly useful, both for themselves and for their clients 👌

The text to vector feature is so disappointing. The generations are just like a low quality trace. Paths are still rough and overlaps are jagged. It's not very useful.

Retype seems nice, but all the AI stuff... meh!

- I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as faith and patience. We should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, it will be the cause of so much destruction like never seen before, it will deceive many and take many captive in order to enslave them into worshipping it and abiding in lawlessness. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is taken from the book of John 5:31-44, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. Let us watch and pray...
