Cancellation fees shouldn't be a thing when your program LITERALLY DOES NOT WORK. If they insist on it while their program isn't working, that is called a scam and they need a class action lawsuit to set them straight.

davinci is free for basic usage and if you want all the bells and whistles, they tend to pair a "free" full version with their physical products. I bought the speed editor for around $150 iirc which was the price of the standalone software.

Try daVinci resolve a bit of a learning curve but it’s honestly better

At least DaVinci Resolve is free if you don't need the really fancy stuff, as far as I know, so it won't cut another hole in your pocket. But isn't there something in the contract about them not delivering and cancelling? Or something the like?

Either adobe did something bad (again) and we're about to hear from a lot of content creators about it, OR something got mangled in your persistent settings (very possibly both) that's mangling your adobe setup. Try and find where adobe stores all your configs and settings and nuking that right out between an uninstall and re-install cycle. You'll have to set up a bunch of things again if I'm right. It's also possible adobe just freaked out over something some other software did, Like decided your AV software is trying to crack it or some such bs.

Adobe has made their subscriptions so confusing and so expensive! I thought I could just sign up for a month when I needed then cancel the next month. Turns out, they have new year-long contracts that you pay for monthly, and I didn't notice that's what I signed up for. So yes, technically partially my bad...but I could not find a separate month-by-month option at all when I looked again. So I got dinged the cancellation fees, as that was technically still cheaper than keeping the subscription for a year.

Have you tried to reset the workspace? (Window -> Workspaces -> Reset to Saved Layout) Have you tried updating your windows? Some things may randomly break because they try to use something from the new windows update and you didnt do it so it fails. This happens a lot actually.

I switched from Adobe to Davinci and it was a very good decision. At first a bit complex, but with a few tutorial videos you get the hang of it quickly. Definitely recommended! Good luck fixing the problem or switching to Davinci. Looking forward for the next spells videos so I can tease my friend for playing an untypical Sorcerer who only uses fire spells, though he could do far far more than that. ;)

Eh, Capitalism only sucks when companies are propped up by government spending and people are too lazy to go to other platforms… Plenty of other options for Adobe… Many free… Also, I’d rather pay a “cancellation fee” over continuing to pay for something forever that’s trash… But again… It’s not Capitalism that causes this problem, it’s people being lazy. Obamacare was put into place because people were too lazy to shop for their own heart insurance, now you are forced to pay for health insurance through a socialized healthcare decision and, wouldn’t you know it, now insurance companies have increased prices by ridiculous amounts… Oh… And if you don’t pay for it, the government who made the socialized law gets to use its monopoly on violence in the USA to force you to pay, or “lose everything”. I don’t know… Doesn’t sound like quite the right move to me… But the problem is, most people have never done the research… Again, laziness…

Hey, here’s an Idea. Capture your license information and uninstall. Then wipe all trace of Premier from your system. Follow up with a clean install. If that doesn’t work…there’s always nuke and reload.

Adobe is being sued by the FTC for that, so even if they try to charge you the cancellation fees, there's every chance you'll get that money back.

Hi, if You're on Windows you could try to clear the user localappdata and appdata of Adobe products before reinstalling the software, they could have some residual files in Program data on main drive, would not harm to check there too.

You probably accidentally closed the frame. Goto Window | Workspaces |Reset to Saved Layout

Maybe it is some driver that could be messing with the adobe software? Did you update anything else recently before this problem occurred? I will also suggest searching up the problem with different keywords and see if you can find a solution before trying to cancel the subscription.

I've head that the US gov is suing adobe for their cancellation fees, so if you wait it 'might' be cheaper in the long run keep the adobe sub until that's over? No idea how much anything adobe shit cost tho so do your own due diligence.

Seconded, I've been using Vegas since I started and mostly love it, the "Upgrade now!" Every year with "steep discounts" is annoying, but it's a good product and has a decent amount of stock stuff that can be used if you subscribe to their hub.
