We do have veterans in political office, and more are running for office because we do need more men like Admiral McRaven. But don't be mistaken, not all military guys are like McRaven. There are a few bad apples everywhere. Currently, there are 82 veterans serving in the US Congress, 17 in the Senate. You can Google for more details, incl. state and local stats. 😉

I kicked myself off of a voluntary Personal Security Detachment. I was getting a wire brushing from my HHC Commander. I told him my thoughts about leaving, but he couldn't deny the integrity of my intention. I was supposed to be a safety brief pitch, and I quit my team for honor violation in front of the company. Still makes me think.

Smart, Yes, athletic, yes, charismatic, yes, connected, yes, wise, yes, BUT with all of that.....he's a democrat. Has all of this criticisms for DJT but NONE for JRB. Why for a person with all of the above can he not criticize JRB or any democrat for that matter. Call a spade a spade. I don't care for anyone who sees ONLY in one direction.

@@jwhit3849 you are wrong. In some states it’s called “unaffiliated” others it is called “independent” and in both cases you REGISTER as such. He has said “I can’t be a Republican because I’m not a fan of Donald Trump. I can’t be a Democrat because I’m pro life.” Don’t want to cast aspersions, but I have a hunch you are of the mindset that anyone who is critical of Donald Trump, is a de facto Democrat…..Ironic because DJT is NOT a Conservative!!!

And he admired Colin Powell, Powell was a true conservative and he admonished DJT. I agree with your statement that you don't care for anyone that sees ONLY in one direction. Can you tell me that DJT does not deserve the criticism?

@@michaeljohnston6727 he’s unorthodox in his delivery but his policies worked. He’s not bought and paid for like many politicians. He needs staff that will advise him correctly. He lacked that last time. FBI and CIA worked against him and many conservatives. Can’t have that if you want to be successful.
