Is it necessary to do the WST part (connect to admin and enroll the domain)? I skip this step and was able to start/stop manager servers with no issues or errors.

Partha Sarathi Suppose if you want any third party jars to be loaded at server startup like for example introscope jars/SAXON jars or memory parameters/java parameters,you can have it mentioned in the classpath field of managed server.

+suhas bagade But here he has added the class path as mentioned while initiating the wlst script, that is not third part . So is this a mandatory step while configuring nodemanager ??
