My favorite part of this design is that it’s symmetrical on both sides. Most wire rings are slightly skewed because the wire crosses and twists in opposite directions. This solves the symmetry and avoids buildup of wires that wrap around the bead. Thanks for a great project idea.

Thank you! I will so mine like this from now on. Mine were always specific sizes & customers would mess up the columns trying them on even though they were labeled. Drove my OCD nuts!! And, I'd have to reorganize on my rod sizing again.

Hello Mika, could you make a video of how you changes the spring, when an instrument has his spring broken. I have some springs to do it and it can be done in few time . This dental chair is well done and the access is easy to everything, so if I can change the spring by myself, it will be quicker than waiting for someone to come and change it. Thanks 🥰

TYVM for this tutorial!!❤ Do you use half hard or dead soft wire? My problem with adjustable wire ring is that the ones that I've made are not strong enough. It easily bends and got misshapen from minor hand activities.
@HeatherBoydWire
11 ай бұрын
I used 18 gauge Artistic wire. Is is not dead soft, but it is also not half hard. Its seems to hold it's shape quite well but you can hammer it to harden it up a bit or use a harder wire. Good luck.
Thanks so much, can't wait to start making this!!! Oh, does the silver wire tarnish please?
@HeatherBoydWire
5 ай бұрын
Thank you. The Artistic wire does not tarnish, but I usually advise using sterling or Argentium silver wire if you are wearing rings in the shower/pool. The Artistic wire has a protective coating that can wear off if your skin is acidic or if it is exposed to too much humidity.

Hi Lily: 22g is a bit thin, depending on your brand of wire. Maybe you can twist it or double it up. Feel free to email photos of your attempt to heatherboydwire@gmail.com for feedback and suggestions! Good luck.

Could you tell me the measurement of the wire I don’t know how long to cut it. This is just wonderful you always make something that is just beautiful and very useful.❤😊
@HeatherBoydWire
3 ай бұрын
For the band you can cut about 6 inches of 18g wire, depending on your ring size. You can use about 3 inches of 22 or 20g wire to attach the bead.
Hello…I love your tutorials but I do have one question…..what type of wire are you using…is it tarnish resistant, sterling, filled or plated? Thank you
@HeatherBoydWire
5 ай бұрын
Thanks Michelle: I use tarnish resistant Artistic wire. If you are making rings to sell I would advise sterling or Argentium silver. Good luck.
I love your rings. What t do you sell your rings for.
@HeatherBoydWire
9 ай бұрын
Thanks Jane. Pricing guide to sell rings: For copper wire rings of a similar style you can charge between $10 and $20. For sterling silver rings it would be double ie. between $20 and $40, depending on the bead. Pricing depends on where you are selling, quality of your products and your branding/packaging.
