I shop on Aliexpress all the time and have seen these but I never really understood what they were for. Thanks to your excellent video instructions I just ordered a couple. To say this is a "must have item" is an understatement. I can't hardly wait to get one and use it. No more measuring and matching up mated pairs. Thank you Sir for sharing, this is some great information.If not for your video I probably would have never bought one. Cutting bands has always been one of my least favorite things to do but that is sure to change soon.

Roller cutter 60mm right?

Could you please tell me for what kind of knifes is it? My OLFA 45 mm is not able to cut bands. The edge of the ruler doesn't let the knife to reach the band.

It maybe the perfect tool for others, but I get anxiety it having to adjust it yourself

What do you think about using a set of calipers to accurately adjust the ruler at each end point?

I suggest you have a 60mm rotary cutter. Anything smaller you will not be able to cut anything with that large edge on the ruler.

Yup just had a cut a bit of my olfa 45mm central bolt thing.

Nice bit of kit hmmm.

If i loosen the nuts up enough for the clear part to slide easily, the bolts fall out or can get lost.

First you need to cut one small piece taper 3mm to 0mm to begin and than to use ruler like you did. If you don't do that you will have your bands tapered 6 mm from one side instead of 3mm taper from both sides.

@@aannddyychang6162 it would yes, but in my experience it makes no difference to accuracy, if it bothers you though it’s easily remedied

Do you flip your elastic around each time you cut?

Yes, and can just be cut again to remedy it.

Hey brother I have just started making my own bands. I got some .62mm orange bands from gzk with my hammer pro. I would like to shoot 8mm ammo. What would you suggest as a starting taper?

On a fresh piece of rubber with a straight edge is there a way to taper the edge properly?

Yeah just taper to half of what your band raper is, so say if your taper is a 6mm drop then cut the edge of at a degree of 3mm

If you lay 2 sheets of band down and cut both bands at the same time you will have perfect matching pair of bands

Great product thanks for the video, I ordered and received same. Can you please tell me what rotary cutter you use! I find the olfa 45mm cutting depth doesn't give enough clearance when using the ruler jig Regards Richard
