A wonderful winter drive through the Adirondack Mountains. As our trip to Alaska was cancelled due to winter storms we hopped in the car and went to the Adirondack mountains. Driving through the most beautiful places in the High Peaks region of the Park was wonderful. The world was a canvas of white, punctuated by the dark, slumbering silhouettes of ancient pines. Each turn revealed a new marvel, a frozen lake here, a snow-laden meadow there. The crisp mountain air was like a whisper of old tales and history, of this amazing wilderness.
