climate change refers to the idea that carbon gas emissions from technologies that use fuel for energy are responsible for extreme weather phenomena like melting of ice caps, increased droughts etc. The theory is that these carbon gas emissions are thinning the ozone layer exposing the earth to the sun. Denying it exists benefits businesses because it means they don't need to limit the production of goods to align with climate regulations i.e not having limit the amount of fossil fuels they emit, not having to worry about deforestation (chopping down of trees on a large scale). Overall acknowledging climate change exists negatively impacts capitalism.
