Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 | FULL REVIEW | The Night The Neon Skeletons Came To Life

Спорт

Thomas and Robbe give all the thoughts on the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3, now with a modified metatarsal EnergyRod placement and improved stability. Traction is phenonenal. The bones are still their money, as long as they don't break up, but not out. Available now for $250.

    I've found you can leave the lacing fairly loose in the forefoot and synch it down with a runners knot for the heel. I run with the collar popped and have no blister issues on long runs. These might be the 🐐

    I can see the upper causing problems for people. Lacing aside the textured achilles pods could be irritating. The toebox vertical volume is low and with the rocker geometry, the upper contacts the top of my foot which is a strange sensation. Aside from the odd upper, the responsiveness is excellent. Feels poppy rather than squish-bounce than vaporflys but more stable. Continental's reputation precedes itself. Alphafly v1 will probably be my marathon race shoe but this is a close second.

    Did you ever got a chance to compare the first Pro 2 (Midsole drop: 10 mm / sole is all white) vs the second version (Midsole drop: 7.5 mm / sole has two colors). I think there's not a big difference between the Pro 2 (second version) and the Pro 3. Will like to know what you think.

    I have put 20 miles (summerGRIT FTW) in mine, they are a shoe that does everything thing well. Unfortunately, I have just one real bad issue (and check with any of your team who might have a fuller foot ) so the jury is out. The eyelet support on the front of the right shoe (left side ) really digs into the knuckly of my big toe ..it has created a massive blister, etc .. I have purchased some surgical spirits to toughen the skin up and will also place some strategic moleskin when I next run in them (be 3 weeks until the blister sorts itself) , if that does not resolve it then eBay it will be .. which is a shame as I love the shoe itself, smooth, quick ,supportive bounce but not being too pillowy, this show let me put in a sub 5km/4.30 while keeping my heart rate around 132bpm .. A magic long-distance shoe.. what the Hoka x3 should have been. Running the rest of my grit miles in a pair of altra's .. comfy slippers does not bother the toe :P

    I just HAD to comment on this as I'm sitting here with a blister on my right foot's big toe bone, exactly where my bunion is. The top eyelet actually has a harden strip under the upper that, for first 10K felt fine but i did a 32K long run, and the eyelet was stabbing into my big toe bone for the second half of the run. Running straight was alright but whenever I do right turns it would definitely stab into the bone. I read somewhere that to mitigate this issue, start lacing the shoes further up the shoe, as in to just skip the first set of eyelets, will have to give that a try. Other than that, great shoe.

    Walking in these types of plated super shoes is trickier because you'll be a little wobbly and require more calf effort to get through your steps. It's a bit like walking uphill on an unstable surface.

With these you can start running and never stop running in these once you're locked in. I get cravings to run in it again. It's a long run shoe so don't even bother with a short run in them.Thanks for the review.

    Among all the carbon shoes out there, I'm intrigued in what actually qualified/disqualified them from marathon racing for you guys. Meaghan mentioned Endo Pro 3 for "up to half marathon" in the other review video, and Robbe seems to qualify Edge+ for marathon distance here. I think Edge+ was considered stiffer than Endo Pro 3... so, it's not very clear. I should stop watching so many videos of two people talking about shoes.

  • @kalvin.

    @kalvin.

    2 жыл бұрын

    Mostly preference. Reality is most of these shoes will be just fine at any distance. If we could run marathons in racing flats it’s probably not as big of a deal between an Endorphin or Adios Pro 3 besides personal preference

  • @KoIhara

    @KoIhara

    @@kalvin. ya, I'm interested because I've also crossed out Endo Pro for marathon racing. Even though I hit half marathon PR wearing them, I couldn't convince myself that my feet would survive the stiffness in the full distance. All in all, I'm curious if there's anything that sort of comes between Endo Speed and Endo Pro. I'd assume that space isn't very wide, so this might all be moot.

  • @Believeintherun

    @Believeintherun

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yeah kind of comes down to preference. I (Robbe) like more road feel, don't like soft shoes, so the Edge+ is prime for me. Meg likes softer shoes. I do think Endo Pro 2 would be a bit harsh for marathon level, but the 3 has more cushion (but plate is still very stiff).
