Thank you! You can't find this in totality anywhere so I enjoyed the catch-up and the memories. Personally, I felt it had started to gain real momentum and potential - just shows the power of the press but there are still fans out there today! xx

I found a lovely online shop that had a DVD of all the Eldorado episodes. I'm.watching them now. Just watched a few episodes so far, & they're flowing great on my old DVD player. Just took a few minutes to load up on my old machine as all episodes arrive on a few boxed disks. Brings back the memories of my teens. Details here. Leave them a comment & they'll get back to you. They were so helpful & got back to me straight away. Don't expect top film quality as they've been obtained from various old sources. But I don't mind that at all. Oddly enough, when they axed Eldorado, it was actually starting to get quite good 🤔😂

it was, the later episodes under new producer Corinne Hollingworth were a marked improvement- it helped that they had more time to write bette quality scripts and changed some of the cast

@@scottyunitedboy2925 So what you are saying is that unfortunately by the time they put the required fixes in place to resolve the issue that the critics were using to slate the show, the BBC had decided to end it, when the viewers were starting to enjoy watching the programme.

They ought to bring back Eldorado or at least ask STV player if they would be willing to rerun it like what they're doing with Brookside now.

Bit of a lop-sided compilation. Would've preferred some more of the earlier stuff and more diversity of the characters featured.

I really don’t know why this was slated so much. Ok there were a couple of dodgy actors in the beginning. I still would rather watch this than Eastenders, Emerdale or coronation street back in the day.

Given a chance Eldorado could have been very good they should given it an extra year to get better. Like Brookside and Take the High Road it was filmed on location,in this case in Spain.
