ADEA CAAPID 2021 - Tips for Future Advanced Standing Dental School Applicants

Two admissions representatives and two program directors discuss where to apply, how to strengthen one’s hand skills, which exams to take, how to maintain professionalism and COVID-19 disruptions at the programs. Panel representatives include the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
The ADEA Centralized Application for Advanced Placement for International Dentists (ADEA CAAPID) is available for individuals who are internationally educated dental graduates who wish to practice dentistry in the U.S. or Canada. ADEA CAAPID includes advanced standing programs which are typically shorter in length compared to traditional D.D.S./D.M.D. degrees.
