Ignore the haters. To start with you’ve carried on the name in your racing career. The number plates were a family matter which you made clear in the past. It was clear how much it hurt you to have to give them up. In regards to the collection practically every car at DHR is a dream car and there are very few people in the world that have the knowledge like your Dad did. Always hold your head high because you know your father was very proud of you. Sending you a massive hug because dealing with people like this is hurt you don’t need on top of losing your father.

People should get on own with their own lives and let you get on with yours fantastic job archie your dad would be proud

The truth which you cannot dispute is you sold the number plates which your dad left you - presumably as other family members had the hump with them being left to you that’s a shame. If they meant so much to you could have financed them and held onto them. The issue people have with Archie is he says many things and then does the opposite - eg. Selling the British racing green RS6 which he said his dad loved and he would not sell. I appreciate Archie is young and will say and do daft things as long as he learns from his mistakes I don’t see the need to dig him out too much.

Rise above it Archie, your family have a lot to be proud of and any petrolhead knows that, unfortunately there are just too many jealous or plain nasty people out there. It’s fast approaching my Dad’s 2nd anniversary, things do feel slightly easier now, but if anyone questioned my loyalty or decency toward his memory i’d be raging, you’re managing well (I hope) to keep it in perspective. I’m so sorry Archie. You should never have had to make this video. Some folk are incapable of keeping themselves in order and stray into other people’s business. I’m pretty sure that you have addressed in less detail the facts behind you not taking the leading role in Duncan Hamilton Rofco in previous videos. Shut the haters out, lad. That garage tour video was such an entertaining, interesting video so sorry to hear it got some bad comments. I never read any of the comments on it. Don't underestimate how jealous people can be. I have had some nice cars and motorbikes over the years and its amazing how people's attitude to you can change negatively.

I only learnt of the Hamilton name (and then your dad/grandad) from you and your name. So you are earning the respect on your own feet.

Hope you get the chance to get them plates back lad!

i was lucky enough to sit in the 1955 le mans D-Type that Duncan drove with Tony Rolt, i was about 5 years old and the car was at the former Midlands Motor Museum at Bridgnorth that close many years ago! still have a photo on a slide somewhere!

Regarding the plates who cares they were given to you and when if peoples noses were out of joint or unhappy with your fathers wishes then hard luck its private and between you and your family. On the business and perceived lack on input from you again who cares mate, As you said its a very specialist area of knowledge and as you also said best to let those who have helped run the business successfully continue to do so with you and your family at the helm as your father would have wanted. Dont over think the hate mate, You are never going to avoid it, just ensure in your own mind you know you are on the right path and making your dad proud first and foremost. don't worry about what others think of you, keep your family close and true friends even closer.
