I gotta say, that is a really good rat cage for three rats! It's spacious with lots of toys. I'm glad you guys did research! One problem, where will they go on drive days? Edit: thx for the likes and replies

@@Cha0tic_C0rvid bar spacing should be fine. The cage is a good cage and I’m getting the same one which my breeder told me was perfect cage. I had 2 in mind one had too wide bar spacing but that one she said was fine :)

I really love that yall are doing the research when I wanted Guinea pigs and I made a power point and I and only 9 and I can not understand the people living in house choose small habitats and you are making the space when you live in a camper🐀🐀

@@Familyofnomads I'm just asking didnt you say that one of you're kids ad asthma so that means if one of the rats is a male then the asthma will get worse and then you're kid will eventually die because a male rat has a protien in its body which makes asthma worse.

As a former rat owner AND lived in a RV…Get ready for a smell hahaha

For them, "forever" is 2 or 3 years, if they are a year old now.

I appreciate that you rescued them. Most people wouldn’t even think about such things

I love rats! They're so trainable, just like tiny dogs, and they're really sweet once they get to know you. It looks like Addison did lots of research before getting them too! Congrats to her on her new pets.

rats are actually awesome pets, i have three of them and they are so sweet and don't smell that bad at all as long as you regularly clean out their cage :)

true. unlike other rodent pets, they take a LOT of time to get to bond with. But if you get a rat from a good breeder, you dont even have to try to get them to cuddle. I took mine outside in the park and it hid in my hoodie all of the time. did not run.

As someone with 10 gerbils and as a rodent lover in general this makes my heart SO full!! The rat’s little face when he poked his head out of the box melted my heart and I’m so glad this is on the Internet in the non-rodent community because more people need to be aware of how cute and cuddly these creatures can be

Rats got a bigger bedroom than the kids 💀

Rats are great. They groom themselves better than mice. Keep the cage cleaned regularly and you shouldn't have any issues with smell. But 3 Rats can't smell worse than a whole family cramed into a camper.

That’s how my parents reacted when I got pet mice lol. I’m glad y’all only got 3 though cause the smell would be too much tbh and a lot of work to clean the cage. She looks so happy aww 💗

Rats are actually the best pets for kids. They are actually very clean, can be trained to do tricks and can even trained to use a litter box.

Rats can be some of the best pets if you continue to be social with them. And the cage looks beautiful.

Rats are great pets for a camper they're small they're easy to take care of and they're very clean animals when they're properly taken care of and you got more than one perfect they're not supposed to be alone you can teach them tricks they're amazing

My ratties were amazing and I'm so glad you folks were willing to give them a try. They are incredibly intelligent and entertaining! You can even potty train them! The down side is they only live a few years :(

Rats are the perfect pet. Cuddly and sweet-they can be trained to do anything a dog can f do but they also sleep a lot like a cat and you can safely leave them in a cage. That is a great cage set up. I highly recommend potty training them to go in in a little litter box to reduce smell

Pets is definitely one thing that has helped my niece who’s autistic out so much in her life. She’s gonna be 22 and she’s a twin. Her twin sister has the average life of a 22 year old as for my niece life is different. I can’t imagine how her life would be if she didn’t have pets.

yeah, my mom felt the same way about my cat. didn’t want her at first but the cat had nowhere else to go (she was a stray) and i had really wanted her. luckily, she grew to love the cat after we adopted her. :)
