Your bees are looking good. They are eating my fondant even though I had to leave the slits upwards. Your bees are eating it right up.

Yes. When I checked other hives it was the same thing. Patties almost gone

I use the reflectex and pink foam board also and I live in Wisconsin, no moisture issues all this winter at all so far works great👍

There are different methods of beekeeping. This works for you and me. For people who are skeptical, I would suggest trying on one of their hive and comparing them to others.

My bees seem to be going thru a 2# sugar brick every week since it warmed up. I use baggies for syrup, i will have to try it for sugar patties as well. Thanks for the video!

Plastic bags work pretty good for patties plus they provide small water drops much needed in the winter. Thank you

How often during the winter do you check hives for food?

It depends of the temperature. Usually I check once a month I take a pick on top of the frames. I check them with thermal camera without disturbing them if we have cold temperatures
